🔎Chateau Berliquet 創建於1768年,是Saint-Emilion產區最古老的酒莊之一,同時也是St.Emilion 產區第一個以酒莊名義出售葡萄酒的酒莊,在1784年當St. Emilion 產區的酒莊都以Saint Emilion 或 Bordeaux大區的名義來出售葡萄酒時,Berliquet 就以自己酒莊名義開始販售。Berliquet的葡萄園是St. Emilion少見的一整塊單一葡萄園,靠近Chateau Canon和Chateau Angelus。酒莊的負責人Patrick Lesquin &Jerome de Lesquen兄弟在2007年,聘請Nicolas Thienpont & Stéphane Derenoncourt 出任酒莊的釀酒顧問。相信 Nicolas Thienpont 大家應該不陌生,我們之前有介紹過,來自Thienpont家族(又叫Le Pin家族) 的他旗下右岸名莊多不勝數,經他手的酒莊包括Beausejour Duffau-Lagarrosse 、Paive Macquin、Lacris Ducasse、Puygueraud、Les Charmes Godard 等等。而Stéphane Derenoncourt則被稱為天才釀酒師,出生於普通鋼鐵工人家庭,在波爾多葡萄園打工時,挖掘了自己的釀酒天賦,先在Chateau Pavie Macquin 開始釀酒,隨後又到Château Canon-la-Gaffelière酒莊工作,經他手的酒莊必出精品, Clos Fourtet、La Mondotte、Beauseour Dufau Lagarosse 和Smith Haut Lafitte 在他作為釀酒顧問時,均取過Robert Parker的💯評價。2017年酒莊已被 Chanel 集團收購。


Chateau Berliquet 佔地9公頃,位於Magdelaine高原上的高海拔地區,上土壤由黏土、白堊土和石灰岩構成。葡萄園內種有70%的梅洛(Merlot)、25%的品麗珠(Cabernet Franc)和5%的赤霞珠(Cabernet Sauvignon)。平均樹齡40年。在50%新的法國橡木桶中陳釀15個月,前6個月使用酒泥接觸法,給予葡萄酒更多的果香。


實試紀錄✍🏻👅Tasting Note: 黑加侖子、黑布冧、甘草、肉桂、煙薰和少許太妃糖的香氣,入口濃郁,單寧適中,順滑細膩,帶有少許雲呢拿、煙薰、菌菇類的香氣和酒精的少許辛辣感,非常適合和肉類食物一起享用。

The 2012 Berliquet is quite attractive. Succulent dark cherries, menthol, licorice and new leather are all pushed forward.The 2012 is open-knit and generous, with good up-front appeal, and enough underlying structure to drink well for at least a decade, perhaps longer. Beams of supporting tannin shape the expressive finish. Another year or two in bottle can only help. The blend is 75% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Nicolas Thienpont and his team led by David Suire oversee Berliquet, with additional input from consultants Stephane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu.


🏅Wine Advocate 89+ pts

An intriguing blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, coming from the limestone plateau of St.-Emilion, a chalky minerality interwoven with blackcurrants, plum and spice are present in this slightly austere, but well-endowed, medium-bodied St.-Emilion. It will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age. This is a solidly made, masculine style of St.-Emilion that should drink nicely for 12-15 years. Berliquet’s yields were a modest 30 hectoliters per hectare, and the wine achieved 14.2% alcohol.


🏅Wine Spectator 88 pts
Solid, with dark plum and fig flavors set against a lightly woodsy backdrop of roasted cedar and apple wood, ending with a lightly firm edge that overtakes the fruit a bit. This may have stayed a touch too long in barrel.
