由 Didier Marcelis 爺爺在1982年創立,然後跟 Chateau Moutinot 酒莊合併了,成為了今天的 Chateau Serilhan 。酒莊佔地24公頃,在2003年Didier 父親 Jean Marcelis 告知兒子Didier如果不回來接手酒莊,便會將酒莊賣出去,Didier由原本從事科技行業便回到 Saint Estephe 打理酒莊,繼而對酒莊加大了投資,包括擴張葡萄園、重新栽種,更新釀酒設備和添置橡木桶 ,貫徹他「Bang for the Buck」務實的理念,將資金都花在提升酒質的回報上,在2007年聘用了Bernard Franc作為技術顧問( 前Pontent Canet 和 Lafon Rochet 的營運總監) ,又找來了金鐘莊主 Hubert de Bouard 作為釀酒顧問,結果令酒質每年穩步上升。葡萄園平均樹齡35年以上,酒陳熟18個月橡木桶才推出巿場 ,1/3是新桶。
Chateau Serilhan 被評為 Cru Bourgeois 中級酒莊,論優雅度或許不及同區列級莊的老大們 Montrose 或 Cos d’Estournel ,但對於Serilhan,卻從來沒有人會投訴他缺少果味和集中度,絶對是一支低調且實而不華的 Saint Estephe 酒莊。

The 2015 Château Sérilhan has a crisp blackberry, briary, damp earth-tinged bouquet that shows a little more cohesion than other Saint Estèphe 2015s. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy, red berry entry, well-balanced if not showing the depth on the finish that is displayed elsewhere. Still, this is a well-crafted wine that should give 15-20 years of pleasure.

Lots of blackberry notes but also earth and menthol on the nose. Well structured but still has a lightness of touch thanks to the fresh acidity. Clean, medium to long finish. Drink or hold.

This is firm and silky with a solid core of blueberry and dark-chocolate character. Medium to full body and a linear finish. Driven and focused red.

The 2017 Serilhan has an attractive bouquet, predominantly red fruit - raspberry, cranberry and wild strawberry,flanked by cedar and sous-bois scents that become more "vocal" with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied withrounded, fleshy red berry fruit. Perhaps it tails off towards the finish, the limitation of the growing season denying thisSaint-Estephe the same complexity as say, the 2019. Still, it has an easygoing nonchalance about it that l admire.

There's always lovely texture and flesh in this wine, and it's a success in 2017, with an intense end of summer fruit feel and a cinnamon edge. It's clearly been carefully worked to soften those tannins, delivering structure without closing the fruit down. Around 3ha of the 12.54ha estate were affected by frost. Harvested 18 September to 5 October. 78% of production for the grand vin, 22% for the second wine. 37% new oak. Hubert de Boüard is consultant.
