繼續介紹意大利酒莊 Tenuta Fanti 的出品，Tenuta Fanto Rosso di Montalcino DOC 來自意大利中部 Montalcino，是屬於 Rosso di Montalcino DOC 級別，Rosso di Montalcino DOC 是 1984 成立，他的地理位置其實與 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 一模一樣，成立依個 DOC 係當局想有另一個 DOC 可以做出比較年輕有活力，新鮮的酒，所以法規要求的陳存時間就比較短，只要陳釀 1 年，而其中 6 個月要用木桶陳存，與 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG，陳存規定 (陳釀 4 年，而其中 2 年要用木桶陳存短很多，可以話係 Brunello 的年輕版。依2個區的酒只可以用 Sangiovese 去釀造。

Sangiovese 是意大利最廣為種植的葡萄，最古老的紅葡萄品種，風格上經過不同的處理手法，效果會很不一樣，由最新鮮，不經木桶陳存的年輕風格，到陳存 5 年以上的 Brunello 風格，但可以由Sangiovese一手包辦，可塑性非常之高。

種植最多葡萄，佔意大利全部葡萄 10%

顏色：

中等程度紅寶石色，不會太深色

香氣：

酸的紅車厘子，花香，草本，甘草，中身至厚身，高酸，高單寧

最好土壤：

Friable soil，shale 頁岩，limestone 石灰石和 clay 黏土

酒莊由 1800 年就開始由 Fanti family 擁有，去到 70 年代現任莊主 Filippo Fanti 將酒莊的定位由葡萄農轉為自家釀酒的酒莊，是酒莊的靈魂人物～酒莊位於 Montalcino 的 Castelnuovo dell'Abate，跟 Poggio di Sotto 和 Sassetti 2 間名莊很接近！葡萄園海拔介乎 150 米- 430 米之間，都是在酒莊 3 公里範圍內，有不同的土壤、座向和坡度。15 年來都奉行有機耕作，不用化肥、減廢、甚至用較輕的酒樽等。莊主接手 Fanti 到現在已經 40 多年，酒款成熟，由 BdM、白酒、Vin Santo 聖酒、橄欖油、去到 Grappa 都有～
 
酒莊亦獲各大酒評長年評高分，由其 James Suckling 多年來都給各酒款差不多 95 分，酒莊頂級酒款 Brunello Di Montalcino “Vallochio” 的 2015 年甚至得到 3 個不同酒評包括 James Suckling 的 97 分高分！2001 年的 Brunello di Montalcino 更得到 2006 年的 Wine Spectator 百大第 23 位！

Juicy cherry, strawberry and raspberry notes here with some walnut and chocolate orange. Medium-bodied with lightly grainy tannins and bright acidity. Crunchy finish.

🏅Vinous 91分：

The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino entices with masses of crushed cherries and raspberries offset by smoky grilled herbs and crushed rocks. This is silky with a pleasant inner sweetness and mineral-tinged black cherry fruit that stains the palate. A gentle grip lingers, yet the 2020 aims to please, with a juicy sensation that keeps its red berry tones resonating.

🏅Wine Advocate 90分：

The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino shows a dark and almost spicy quality of Sangiovese, shaped by hot-vintage conditions. It offers a smooth ride with dark fruit, cherry, earth and iris root. It also shows hints of white pepper, cinnamon and cured tobacco. Those savory tones are discreet, but it feels like they are coming from the fruit as much as from oak aging (in botte and barrique for a brief six months). This is a 45,000-bottle release and a great value.
