歷史
1537年之前， Droin的家族已經在Chablis開始種植葡萄，而時至今日當中經歷了不同考驗，Droin先祖一直保住園地，成就今日的酒莊。現時酒莊共有26公頃，分布在CHABLIS 不同區塊/ 級別，共釀製21 款酒。
Jean-Paul Droin於1965年開始在酒莊工作，當時年僅14歲。1981年建立正式的酒窖。從1984年至1987年，Jean-Paul和他的妻子Catherine在市中心購買土地並重建了一個新酒窖。 而在Chablis的家庭葡萄園的重新種植繼續進行。 2014年， Jean-Paul正式退休。
Benot Droin在就讀於博恩葡萄酒學院並在第戎獲得了國家釀酒學文憑後，於1999年加入該領域。在大克魯山坡的山腳下建立了第二家釀酒廠。並得到更好的發展。他家的酒出售至法國和全球50個國家/地區。
地質特徵
Chablis 典型的 Kimmeridgian Marly 石灰石上。卵石狀的石灰石脈石包含著名的微觀化石生蠔：“exogyra virgula”。藍色黏土的脈使葡萄酒具有傳奇般的礦物質味。致使Chablis 成為海鮮最好伙伴，尤其是貝殼類。Droin 著重突出不同風土，並帶有一點自然酒風格，用本地酵母發酵，部分用不銹鋼桶發酵，部分用桶裝。特意於不同酒款用上不同比例的木桶，這款 Montée de Tonnerre 而新桶只用了10%，，在採收時更是刻意提早一些以保留葡萄明亮酸度，輕輕過濾並裝瓶。在勃艮第20家RVF (La Revue du Vin de France) 三星莊裡，Chablis 只占三席，Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin 就是其中之一。相較於其他兩家（Raveneau 和 Dauvissat），Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin 有著旗鼓相當的高品質，但價格卻相當實惠，如此超值的鼎尖佳釀，豈容錯過！

The 2008 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre exhibits beautiful aromas of oystershell, iodine, lemon oil and wheat toast, followed by a medium to full-bodied, concentrated and incisive palate that's built around a tangy line of acidity, concluding with a stony finish. At age ten, it has entirely integrated its new wood and offers a resounding validation of Droin's winemaking.

(from bottles purchased in Burgundy). A beautiful and nicely complex nose carries plenty of classic Chablis character that includes mineral reduction, maturing yet still fresh white orchard fruit and hints of oyster shell and iodine. There is equally good intensity and precision to the rich and stony medium-bodied flavors that offer very fine length on the saline-inflected finale. For my taste this has arrived at its peak though it should hold well for at least another decade. Lovely juice. Tasted twice with fairly consistent notes as one of bottles was noticeably more reduced though still excellent.

Pale yellow. Strong silex and orange scents on the reticent nose. Densely packed with sweet fruit but showing a rather powerful spine of minerality today; this strikes me as a more harmonious version of the Mont de Milieu. Finishes saline, taut and very long, with typical notes of scallop shell and iodiney minerality.
