Brunello稱得上是蒙塔爾奇諾（Montalcino）葡萄酒的王子，它是百分百用Savgiovese桑嬌維塞葡萄手工釀製的，這種葡萄是從葡萄園中最古老的葡萄藤中手工採摘的。在溫度受控下發酵，Tenuta Il Poggione Brunello diMontalcino再在法國大橡木桶中陳釀。在木桶上陳釀之後，將葡萄酒瓶裝陳釀：這是確保使Brunellodi Montalcino能享譽世界的重要過程。
產地：Il Poggione酒廠最古老的葡萄園，種植在海拔150至450米（490-1475英尺）之間。

歷史HISTORY
來自弗洛倫斯Florence拉維尼奧·弗朗西斯Lavinio Franceschi決定在聽過牧羊人的故事後參觀該地區。他非常喜歡風景優美的Montalcino區和居住在該地區的人們，最後他便決定購買土地並建立農場。

現況NOW
TENUTA IL POGGIONE覆蓋了530公頃（1300英畝）的面積，其中140公頃（336英畝）的葡萄園種植了50公頃（120英畝）的橄欖樹。其餘的專用於糧食和牲畜。鑑於可持續農業發展，酒莊一直在葡萄園中種植不同的農作物，並限制了化學藥品的使用。
最近，它在酒窖的屋頂上安裝了太陽能電池板，目的是減少釀造葡萄酒時的碳排放足跡。葡萄園的工作主要是經人手採收和其他工作。

風土TERROIR
TENUTA IL POGGIONE位於聖安格洛城，在MONTALCINO以南約10公里（6英里）。
因其得天獨厚的位置，其葡萄園 (包括於1964年建成的VIGNA PAGANELLI）得益於臨近的阿米亞塔山和提拉尼亞海，享有優異的風格。
葡萄園的海拔高度在150至450米（490 – 1475英尺）之間。
再加上葡萄園年齡，促進了更容易的收採，無論氣候條件如何，都可以生產出具有長陳年潛力的具結構的葡萄酒。
酒窖CELLAR
新酒莊
2004年，新酒莊融入了新的設計，而莊園的“傳統文化”則完美地配合了前衛的技術。
收採後，葡萄酒通過本地酵母在受控溫度下發酵，並採用“浸入式”技術在不銹鋼桶內進行發酵。由於採用這種發酵方式，因此可以獲得濃烈的顏色和風味，並彰顯Brunello di Montalcino的風格。
陳年AGING
法國大橡木桶
葡萄酒窖深藏在地底五米下的深處，利用大型的法國橡木桶把葡萄酒陳年。
該酒廠直接從貨源中挑選出最好的法國橡木作為桶裝。橡木在室外至少要放置4年，然後才能被橡木匠使用。由於酒窖是完全在地下深處，酒窖的溫度和濕度也更理想，因此是最佳陳釀和儲存葡萄酒的空間。

The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is anothersuperb Brunello from Il Poggione. The ripeness of the vintage meets a classicsense of structure as this bold, full-bodied wine takes shape in the glass. The2006 doesn't have the elegance or finesse of the 2004, instead it offers adecidedly more virile, masculine expression of Sangiovese. Dark cherries,tobacco, smoke and underbrush wrap around a wall of tannin as the finish buildsto a majestic close. Il Poggione's Brunello remains one of the best values infine, cellar- worthy wine.

Seductive nose lures uswith the perfume of sweet cherries and red currants, combined with scents thatrecall smoke, earth, minerals, tobacco, chocolate, and the influence of newoak. Evolves beautifully in the mouth, led by very good acidity and impeccablebalance. Like #12, this Brunello is quite concentrated, well extracted, hastannins to shed, and has some muscle. This wine deftly combines a modern styleto traditional components. Above all, the finish is endless and thoroughlyenjoyable. Outstanding!
