Maison Louis Jadot 的歷史最早可追溯到 1794 年，他的家人從比利時移居到 Beaune，並開始購買 Premier Cru 和 Grand Cru 葡萄園，酒莊是由 Louis Henry Denis Jadot 於1859年創立。而 Jadot 家族購買的第一個葡萄園是1826年的 Beaune 葡萄園 Clos des Ursules，仍然保留至今，亦被視為酒莊的招牌酒，酒風非常細緻。1954年，傳至第4代時委託了Andre Gagey 管理，並擔任 Louis Augueste Jadot 的助手，而在1962年, Louis Augueste Jadot 去世時，Gagey 接管酒莊，負責從生產到包裝到發售的全部事宜。
在1970年，Gagey 聘請了傑出的年輕藝術家 Jacques Lardiere 作為他的助手，後來也成為最終的技術總監直至2012年。 今天，Lardiere 是勃艮第公認的最好的釀酒師之一。Maison Louis Jadot 專註於葡萄酒風土的最純粹表達，盡可能地減少人工干預。1996年，Louis Jadot 與 Tonnellerie Vicard 合作，創建了自己的合作社叫做 Cadus，以生產按照勃艮第傳統製作的法國橡木桶。
現時 Louis Jadot 一共擁有270公頃園地，全部在布根地內，其中包括數量非常龐大的十片特級園，還有在 Mâconnais 及 Beaujolais Cru。
Jacques Lardiere 在2012年退位前接受 Decanter 雜誌訪問，憶述當年他的第一次考驗是在1971年，當時許多布根地的葡萄園都被冰雹摧毀了。 ‘沒人知道該怎麼辦。但是 Lardiere 可以看到倖存的葡萄有多麼嚴重的瘀傷，所以我給了葡萄汁短暫的浸漬。’當時的老闆 André Gagey 擔心葡萄酒的顏色過淺。Lardiere 也是如此。 ‘但是葡萄酒的表現非常好，今天有些仍然很好狀態。經過這次之後，Andre 完全信任我。就這樣正式開始了他的葡萄酒旅程。他往後，採用特殊釀法，建立了非常獨特的風格，也讓 Louis Jadot 成為過去幾十年來品質最為穩定的酒商。在紅酒的釀造上，偏好高溫發酵，有時甚至到達 38-40C，超長浸皮亦是 Louis Jadot 的特色，常長達 30天甚至更久。白酒亦沒有跟隨潮流，變得更多酸輕盈，仍然是濃厚多木香豐富型 Chardonnay，但卻能找到極佳的平衡，與新鮮多變的香氣。
Corton-Pougets Grand Cru
這款酒的葡萄採自 Corton 特級園的小園 les Pougets。Corton 特級園是 Beaune 唯一一個紅葡萄酒特級園，總面積不到 100 公頃，這個巨型特級園被分成了很多小園，如果酒標有標示，說明是單獨一個小園釀制而成的。最好的 Corton大都來自於 Clos du Roi，Le Corton，Renardes，Bressandes和 Pougets。Corton Pougets 採自於佔地 1.47 公頃的特級園(Grand Cru)，酒款的特色在於其煙燻燒烤的香氣與辛辣調性，是一支非常 Corton 的美酒。

This is notably more complex than the Corton-Grèves because even though the noses are similar, there is more breadth here and just a touch more evident ripeness as well. There is excellent richness to the velvet-textured and more obvious mineral-driven flavors that coat the mouth with dry extract on the satisfying, long and equally complex finish. This is a classic Pougets in style if a bit riper than is typical. Note too that as grand cru pricing and value goes, Jadot's Pougets is consistently one of the top bargains.

Medium red with a faint hint of amber at the rim. A ripe coulis of cherry and raspberry on the nose; more red than black in its fruit expression but a touch roasted compared to the 2010, with complicating menthol and spice qualities. Wonderfully plush, plump wine with serious middle-palate richness and sweetness. Boasts terrific thickness and volume without loss of energy, even if it doesn't convey the clarity or treble notes of the less-ripe years. This strikes me as even bigger than the young 2015 even if it doesn't have quite that wine's intensity or high pitch. A distinctly solid vintage of Pougets, finishing with substantial dusty tannins, but its sheer sweetness will allow for relatively early drinking. Finishes with a minty nuance that leavens its thickness. This is the best--and lushest--bottle of this wine that I have tasted to date.

Dark and brooding, with black cherry, plum, earth and underbrush flavors, backed by stiff tannins. Opens up with air, revealing a mineral element and a fresh finish. It's all there, just needs time.

The 2009 Corton-Pougets is built on a solid core of minerality that gives the wine its focus. This remains a feminine, graceful Corton laced with pretty red fruits, flowers and spices, all of which flow together nicely in a mid-weight style. The Pougets needs a few years in bottle for the tannins to soften.
