酒莊位於意大利 Piemonte 皮埃蒙特地區 Monforte d’Alba,這裏是一片綿延起伏的平原,以 Barolo,Barbaresco 聞名,由 Alessandro 和 Gian Natale Fantino 兩兄弟創立於1998年,酒莊歷史雖然年輕,但也不容小覷,因為 Alessandro 早前在大名鼎鼎的傳統派 Bartolo 名莊 Cantina Bartolo Mascarello 工作了20年,管理葡萄園和擔任釀酒師一職,擁有非常豐富的傳統釀酒的方法與哲理。隨後1998年與兄弟 Gian Natale Fantino 在 Monforte 全身心投入經營8公頃的有機莊園,著名的 Barolo “特級園” Bussia,最早一批被定義為 Cru 的葡萄園,系享譽當地的明星園,借自法國勃艮第地分級園 Cru 概念,分析每一地塊獨特的風土結構,並將葡萄因地適宜的栽種在最適合生長的地方,以釀造出最能代表該特級葡萄園風土的酒,Vinous 葡萄酒專家 Antonio Galloni 常常被問到 :”who the up and coming producers are in Barolo. Alessandro and Gian Natale Fantino are among them”,Bussia 以酒質堅實,口感密集,雄渾強壯著稱,陳年之後方顯魅力。
葡萄栽種於 Bussia 的山坡中心位置 Dardi,朝向東南方,地理位置極佳,砂質黏土,葡萄藤年齡60年以上,人手採摘後在酒廠進行分揀,用天然的酵母在不銹鋼桶發酵25-30日,之後在 Slavonian oak 斯拉沃尼亞大桶熟成48個月(兩年在大的老桶,一年在2~3年的舊桶),以確保來自 Dardi 葡萄的美妙芳香不被遮蓋,儘量少地過濾,保持誘人的質感,完成木桶陳釀再瓶陳直至酒莊上市,年產6000支。這裏 Bussia 出產的 Barolo 不乏 Nebbiolo 典型的單寧結構和陳年能力,相比 Monforte 南邊的和 Serralunga 顯得不會太硬,年輕時仍然能欣然親近飲用。

The 2014 Barolo Bussia Cascina Dardi is a powerful, tightly wound wine. Sinewy tannins add to an impression of tautness in this mid-weight, yet super-expressive Barolo. Readers will have to be patient with the 2014, as the wine is a bit nervous today. Even so, there is enough inner perfume and sweetness to make me think all the 2014 needs is time in bottle.

Here's a wine with a tempered personality that grows in intensity with each swirl of the glass. The 2014 Barolo Bussia Cascina Dardi, with a few more of those swirls, reveals a gorgeous identity. It goes from wallflower to prima ballerina with just a few swift and decisive moves. Wild berries, blue flowers, licorice and crushed stones are suddenly released. The wine is a delight to drink, thanks to the pristine and elegant quality of the bouquet. The finish is smooth and silky with intact primary fruit. Some 20,000 bottles were produced.
