Bosquet des Papes 屬於Boiron家族，傳統而古老的釀酒世家，最早可以追溯至1860年，Emmanuel Boiron 投資了教皇新堡地區的一座葡萄園。1936年，他的兒子 Joseph-Victor 創建了 Clos Chantemerle。此後，該家族的一代代人努力經營酒莊，確保了葡萄酒生產的連續性和品質，使酒莊的每一瓶酒都能忠實反映葡萄園的風土。於1965年Maurice Boiron為了擴大葡萄園面積並建立 Bosquetdes Papes，那個時候，酒莊的葡萄園面積已達25公頃。

目前Nicolas Boiron 已是第五代傳人，酒莊知名度與Chateau Beaucastel, Chateau Rayas, Domaine du Pegau, Clos des Papes 等教皇新堡曠世奇莊齊名。酒莊出產4款不同類型的教皇新堡紅酒和一款白酒，、Robert Parker 說是他目前三十餘載裡最喜好的酒莊之一。

酒莊種植的主要葡萄品種是 Grenache，另外還有 Syrah、Cinsault 和Mourvedre。在40個不同地塊的葡萄園中，有著各種各樣的土壤結構：紅色砂岩、鵝卵石滾、褐土、砂等，底層土是粘土和石灰岩，這種多樣性的風土條件是酒莊葡萄酒的複雜性和獨特性的基礎，以提取優質的葡萄酒，釀出優雅細膩的果味著稱，酒莊的每一瓶酒都能忠實反映葡萄園的風土。

酒莊的葡萄都是手工採摘，並在葡萄園採摘的時候就直接進行一次分揀。隨後送到酒窖之後在傳送帶上進行第二次分揀，確保葡萄的品質並剔除雜質。在60%的大桶、30%的小桶、10%的水泥桶進行嚴格控制的發酵過程。發酵完成後則由經驗豐富的釀酒師對葡萄酒進行混合，於橡木桶中陳釀12~18個月，這需要極大的耐心和精度，來保證酒莊葡萄酒的品質。

The finest vintage of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the inky 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape a la Gloire de Mon Grandpere comes from old-vine Grenache vines planted in mostly sandy soils of the Gardiole lieu-dit. Aged in a combination of concrete tank and older, larger barrels, it’s a drop-dead gorgeous 2012 that reveals tons of sweet red and black fruits, lavender, pepper, licorice and hints of garrigue. Beautifully concentrated, seamless and textured, with extraordinary elegance and polish to its tannin, it’s up with the top 2-3 wines of the vintage and will have two decades or more of longevity.

Brilliant ruby-red. Heady aromas of candied raspberry, garrigue and Asian spices, with a peppery nuance adding lift. Supple, sweet and focused, offering sappy berry and floral pastille flavors with suggestions of licorice and mocha. Closes sweet, taut and very long, with an echo of fresh red berries and no obvious tannins.

Offers a dense, chewy feel, with briar, ganache and tobacco leaf notes giving this a distinctive texture, while the core of blackberry, fig and black currant fruit waits in reserve. An echo of licorice snap on the finish adds more intrigue.
