MONVIGLIERO

Pipe tobacco, pine, blue flower and menthol aromas shape the nose. The firm, full-bodied palate offers Marasca cherry, pomegranate and licorice set against assertive, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. It's still youthfully austere and needs a few more years to fully come around.

Dried berries, tar, peppermint, aniseed and jet-black licorice come the fore. Balanced and very tightly wound, this is a chewy, serious red that will need time to settle in order to reveal fully its beautiful acidity complexion and agile dried fruit.

Rich, laced with cherry, strawberry and floral notes, this Barolo remains vibrant and firmly structured. Accents of liquorice iron, tobacco and tar lend complexity, while the finish exhibits serious grip. All the elements are present, so be patient.
