Chateau Bellefont-Belcier 的歷史可追溯至17世紀。18世紀中葉，伯爵 Louis Francois de Belcier 正式創立了酒莊。1803年，伯爵修建了酒莊城堡，並把該酒莊命名為“Chateau Bellefont-Belcier）”。與大部分酒莊一樣，該酒莊的名字也與創建者的名字有關，酒莊名中的 Belcier 即是伯爵的姓氏。而 “Bellefont” 在法語中有漂亮的泉水之意，這是因為該酒莊附近點綴著許多大大小小的天然溫泉。1889年，Pierre Faure 購買了酒莊。正是在這個時候，葡萄園成為波爾多地區的旗艦地區之一，獲得了無數獎項（包括 1892年Concours général agricole de Paris競賽唯一的波爾多葡萄酒金獎）。在當時 Pierre 以超越時代的眼光在山坡上設計了著名的圓形酒窖，並配有重力接收裝置。自建造以來一直保持完好無損，如今已成為該酒莊的瑰寶之一。1994年，Labusquire 家族，即 Faure 的後代，把酒莊賣給了 Jacques Berrebi、Alain Laguillaumie 和 Dominique Hebard。其中，Dominique Hebard 在聖埃美隆還擁有另外一家酒莊——Chateau Le Trianon。Hebard 家族在波爾多右岸聲名卓著，曾是 Chateau Cheval Blanc 的所有者。並對酒莊進行了重組，在2006年，被列為 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru。2017年，酒莊被香港著名的富商郭炎（Peter Kwok）收購。

貝勒芬酒莊 Château Bellefont-Belcier，屬於Saint-Emilion Grand Cru，酒莊的葡萄園僅13公頃，位於Pavie、Larcis Ducasse 和 Tertre Roteboeuf 之間，葡萄園周邊圍繞著17世紀的建築。葡萄園土壤主要由黏土和石灰岩構成，種植的葡萄品種為72% 的 Merlot, 17% 的 11%的 Cabernet Franc 。葡萄樹平均年齡為30年。釀制的葡萄酒通常在法國橡木桶中進行蘋果乳酸發酵，並在法國橡木桶中陳釀15至18個月，在橡木桶中陳釀的時間取決於年份，根據不同的年份會採用30%-40%的新木桶。該酒莊的酒具有 很長的陳年潛力，通常需陳年 4 至 5 年後才會發展完全。

Rich and earthy, the 2005 Bellefont-Belcier comes from an estate of 33+ acres and is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. A structured, potentially long-lived wine, it has a dense purple color, notes of cassis and black cherry liqueur, a deep minerality, ripe tannin, and a beautiful, full-bodied mouthfeel and finish. This is a brilliant wine and a sleeper of the vintage to drink over the next 10-15 years.

Wonderful aromas of blueberries, coffee, and lightly toasted oak follow through to a full body, with medium chewy tannins and a fruity finish. Needs time in the bottle. 

🥇Vinous 90 pts
Good deep red-ruby. Currant, smoke and roast coffee on the expressive nose. Suave and sweet, with a fine-grained texture and enticing inner-mouth perfume to the flavors of redcurrant and tobacco. Finishes with fine tannins and very good length.  -- Stephen Tanzer
