Chateau Doisy-Vedrines由 Chateau Doisy分裂出來的3間酒莊其中之一,另外2間酒莊為Château Doisy Daëne, Château Doisy-Dubroca,在1855的列級酒莊分級時,被評為2級莊,Grand Crus Classes of Sauternes and Barsac只有26間酒莊能夠入選,在Barsac地區更只有10間能夠成為列級酒莊。

酒莊最初由CHEVALIERS DE VEDRINES所擁有,後來酒莊幾經易手,葡萄園也被分割為3間酒莊,Chateau Doisy-Vedrines的面積為最大,在 1946 年,酒莊由 Casteja家族購入並持有至今,這個Casteja家族在波爾多區擁有多家酒莊。

Chateau Doisy-Vedrines的貴腐甜酒,深得各大酒評家的好評,圓潤甜美如蜜糖,帶有點點礦物質感,豐富而平衡。

The Château Doisy-Védrines 2014 is a blend of 85% Sémillon and 15% Sauvignon Blanc, a modest 134 grams per liter residual sugar and a pH of 3.55 (a figure that might be a little lower than recent vintages.) It has a fragrant bouquet that is actually quite similar to Doisy-Daëne this year, a reticent at first but opens up with honey, orange zest and mineral aromas. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with a fine line of acidity, much more race than recent vintage with citrus lemon, honey and orange peel on the long, persistent finish. Yes, there is a little more unctuousness on the finish compared to Doisy-Daëne but at the end of the day, they are both superb expressions of Barsac.

Rich and firm, with great concentration, this wine is powered by botrytis, honey and the ripest yellow fruit and bitter orange flavors. It promises a great future, with power and richness balanced by acidity. 


🥇 Wine Spectator 95 pts

Glazed pear, fig and apple notes form the initial display here, followed by hints of dried orange peel, maple and almond. The long finish is coated with a heather honey accent, yet this still shows cut and drive overall. A slightly more powerful style of Barsac, and should age beautifully. Best from 2020 through 2040. 3,167 cases made. — JM

The full candied citrus, pineapple and mangoes and the generous sweetness make this quite a lush wine, and there’s just enough acidity to bind it all together into a neat package. Not as exciting as from barrel but outstanding. Drink now.
