Château FRANC MAYNE 酒莊佔地6公頃,在全新的2022 St-Emilion Classification中仍然保留著Grands Crus Classes的資格,
名列71間Grands Crus Classes之一, 絕對是飲家的信心保証!
緊靠著同級的 Grand Mayne 和 Premiers Grands Crus Classés B級酒莊Chateau Beau-Sejour,
酒莊擁有三塊葡萄田,以砂質黏土和Limestone為主,平均樹齡30-40年.
在著名釀酒顧問Michel Rolland 的領導下,Franc Mayne酒質已有全面的提升,不僅重新設計釀酒間,還安裝不銹鋼恒溫發酵池。
葡萄酒在釀造完成後會先在橡木桶中陳釀幾個月,之後轉移到一個2公頃的地下酒窖繼續進行陳釀,最後會在50%新橡木桶中陳釀16個月, 所以風味往往達到極緻的平衡。
現在釀酒團隊則交由著名波爾多釀酒團隊Oenoteam領軍人物之一的Thomas Duclos接手,
擅長發掘風土細緻特質的Thomas同時擔任Troplong, Canon, Giscours等名莊的釀酒師,
絕對是新生代醸酒師的表表者 正因為Thomas的側重展現風土釀酒理念,
所以Franc Mayne的新年份酒款更逐步減少了木桶的比例, 務求充分發揮酒莊獨有豐富的Limestone和Clay風土特質
✍🏻實試紀錄Tasting Note:
黑加侖子、黑布冧、西梅、果脯和少許薄荷香氣,入口飽滿濃郁,帶明顯黑朱古力、黑咖啡、焦糖、奶油雲妮拿氣息,
初段略嫌甜膩,在醒酒45分鐘後變化明顯,味道呈現更豐富,不但湧出更多的紫花香氣, 又帶煙燻、山渣、石墨,
酸度明顯但討好,配上圓滑而細密的單寧,令酒體更加平衡且收結也相當長
🏅Vinous 93pts
The 2016 Franc-Mayne has a detailed bouquet of blackberry, wild strawberry and floral (rose petal) aromas that gain intensity with just a few swirls of the glass. Very sensual! The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins and well-judged acidity, tightening up toward the finish but delivering plenty of substance and body. This seems to have gained the persistence that I was looking for 12 months ago. Great potential.

Sleek and driven in feel, showing a juicy beam of cassis, raspberry and blackberry notes accented with light anise and apple wood accents. Features subtle grip through the finish, with a brambly edge adding extra texture and energy. Yum.

A dense and fruity red with noteworthy focus, form and tension. Full-bodied, very tight and focused. Lightly angular tannins at the end with a salty undertone. A blend of 90 per cent merlot and ten per cent cabernet franc.
🏅Wine Advocate 91-93 pts
The 2016 Franc-Mayne has a very rich and opulent bouquet with crème de cassis and blueberry aromas, although it needs to muster more delineation to compete with its peers. The palate is full-bodied with saturated tannin, juicy black cherry and wild strawberry fruit with an attractive spiciness developing on the finish. It just needs to find more refinement once in bottle but there is potential here, even if I prefer the 2015 last year.
