💁🏻‍ Chateau Grand Pontet 為波爾多右岸聖愛美倫列級酒莊 (Grand Cru Classe)﹐其歷史可追溯至1415年。1980年﹐Becot 家族從 Barton & Guestier 手中買下Chateau Grand Pontet，2000年後由 Sylvie Pourquet-Becot 女仕管理，斥資改建且用心經營，並聘請知名的Michel Rolland 團隊的 Jean-Philippe Fort 擔任釀酒顧問，品質逐漸提升，因此在2012年也躋身Saint Emilion的 Grand Cru Classe列級酒莊之列 😊👍

🏕️酒莊面積共14公頃，平均樹齡40歲🌳 酒莊先會在葡萄園中完成第一輪葡萄篩選，然後在發酵前再進行第二次的篩選，以確保用上最優質的葡萄去釀造美酒。而每一年酒莊都會更換60-80%的橡木桶為新桶，以增加葡萄酒的層次及風味😋

The 2014 Grand-Pontet showed well in barrel. Now that the wine is in barrel, the aromatics did feel a little pinched at first, necessitating rigorous swirling of the glass to eke out blackcurrant, bilberry and cedar aromas. There is a distant estuarine accent that manifests with time, almost rending it Margaux-like in style. The palate is very well balanced and packed full of plenty of fruit. There is a "solid" nature to this Saint Emilion, quite firm in the mouth while depriving it of harmony and focus. Give this two or three years in bottle and it should turn into the excellent 2014 that I predicted from barrel.

Excellent fruit and freshness combined with elegant dry tannins make this generous and ripe wine very appealing, and there’s a delicate spice and licorice character, too. Balanced. Why wait? But this will improve with age.

Deep and translucent to the core, the 2014 Pontet-Canet is one of the sexiest wines of the vintage. A host of violets, lavender, mint, spices, new leather and plums grace the palate in an utterly exquisite wine endowed with magnificent yet understated depth and crystalline purity. This is without question one of the highlights of the vintage. The 2014 isn't a big wine; rather it is a Pauillac built on a total sense of finesse. The 2014 was vinified in equal parts cement and oak, and is aging in a combination of 50% new oak, 35% amphora and 15% once used barrels. The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Personally, I can't wait to taste the 2014 from bottle.
