進入 2000 年之後，Haut-Bailly 的品質已有著不俗的水準，隨著大多數設備被替換為更加現代、精準的釀酒設備，2004 年是酒莊重大轉捩點，自此年份開始 Haut-Bailly 的表現脫胎換骨，一躍位居 Graves 地區頂尖水準，不僅 05、06 連續兩年得到 Parker 95 分的評分，2008 年的評分更與同村的五大酒莊 Haut-Brion 同樣獲得 Parker 96分，是整個 Passec-Leognan的最高分，Haut-Bailly 又重回昔日的光輝，再度站上 Passec-Leognan 精英酒莊的頂尖位置。
酒莊堅持不使用除草劑，堅持手工採摘葡萄。為確保葡萄的高質量，同時控制產量，酒莊定期剪枝，並根據葡萄樹開花後的情況為果實疏枝。2016年，酒莊獲得EPV資格。EPV，Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant 是政府對他們的 vigneron 技能和文化遺產的認可。

Serious wine. Dark ruby color, with blackberry, earth and truffle character. Full-bodied and very polished, with fine tannins and a long, rich, fruity finish. I underrated this years ago.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective.

Haut-Bailly is often such a restrained, gentle, subtle wine that it can get lost in a blind tasting, particularly when served side by side with more powerful Bordeaux. That was not the case in my recent tasting, as both the 1989 and 1990 vintages performed well. The 1990 Haut-Bailly, which I have always preferred slightly to the 1989, was once again the stronger vintage. It displays a richer, more saturated dark ruby color, followed by a textbook, smoky tobacco, blackberry, and cassis-scented bouquet. Ripe, supple-textured, and generous, with no hard edges, this is a stylish, well-crafted wine with all the component parts in balance.

Much fresher than many 1990s with polish and a minerally edge. Racy and very fresh. Refined. A really good 1990! Long and complex.
