The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 la Diligente comes bounding out of the glass with expressive baked blueberries, stewed plums and chocolate box scents plus hints of menthol and fertile loam. Full, firm and grainy in the mouth, it has lovely freshness and a long finish with a minty lift.

A juicy and tangy wine with earthy berry character, medium body and a savory finish.

Lots of violets, earth, blueberries, and blackberries aromas emerge from the 2018 Château La Diligente. This medium-bodied, incredibly charming Puisseguin has good freshness and purity, notable balance, and should drink well right out of the gate and keep for upwards of a decade.

🏅Vinous 87-89分

The 2018 La Diligente is an intense yet rustic wine. Huge swaths of tannin dominate at present. It will be interesting to see if this powerful Puisseguin develops more finesse over time. Today, it is decidedly four-squared. Dark plum, chocolate, leather, licorice and game build into the virile finish.
