Chateau Langoa Barton (朗高巴頓莊園)位於法國波爾多的Saint-Julien(聖朱利安)產區,在1855 分級中位列三級莊。酒莊歷史起源可以追溯到1722年,Thomas Barton離開了故鄉來到了法國,開啟了Barton家族的紅酒旅程。1821年,Thomas的孫子Hugh Barton買下了Chateau Langoa Barton的前身——Chateau Lango),並為其改名為Chateau Langoa Barton。時至今日,Chateau Langoa Barton仍屬於Barton家族,已在八代家族成員的掌管下走過近兩百個春秋。這種從未間斷的傳承使酒莊獨特的文化傳統得以世代積澱,同時也為出產品質穩定、風格統一的佳釀增添了保障。




Chateau Langoa Barton葡萄園占地20公頃,俯瞰著鄰近的Gironde。受益於河流的影響,這裏有著更為溫和的微氣候,較少遭受極端氣候的影響。園內底土以深厚的黏土層為主,表面則覆蓋著眾多礫石。葡萄的種植比例約為57%的赤霞珠、34%的梅洛和9%的品麗珠,梅洛的年份近些年來一直有增加,同時也有種植一些小維多。葡萄平均樹齡為37年,但是,他們有可追溯至1953年的老葡萄樹。葡萄園的葡萄種植密度為每公頃9,100個葡萄樹。酒莊採用可持續發展的種植方法,並不斷提高有機種植的地塊比例,保護葡萄園及周圍的生態環境,從而收穫更優質的釀酒葡萄。

The2009 Langoa-Barton has a gorgeous bouquet with blackberry, bilberry, cedar andlight tobacco aromas that blossom from the glass. This feels so composed andpure. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine-grain tannin,beautifully judged acidity and a svelte, languorous finish that fans out withstyle. What a gorgeous and utterly seductive Saint-Julien. It turns out to beLangoa Barton, a wine that I have rated very highly in the past.

Served blind at the Southwold 2009 tasting. This is a superb performance from Langoa Barton. Here, the 2009 has a lifted, perfumed, Burgundy-inspired bouquet that is nicely defined but showing a little more unresolved oak than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit on the entry: strawberry, cedar and blackcurrant. This is strict and very linear, conservative but compelling. The class is here from start to finish and presently stands shoulder to shoulder with its “big bro”.

Very dense and still rather reserved, with dark blueberry, blackberry and fig notes rolled together, framed by freshly brewed espresso and Black Forest cake notes. Long and tarry through the finish, with a melted licorice snap note hanging on at the very end.

A deceptively approachable wine. Its gorgeous fruits are right up front, their ripeness powered by a generous, complex texture. There is concentration, but it is surrounded by so much richness. It can almost be drunk now, but should age well.


🏅 James Suckling 93 pts

A rich and fleshy wine, yet it remains decisively dry. Attractive blueberry aroma and impressive supple tannins make this very harmonious. If it was slightly brighter in the nose this would rate even higher.
