Cheval des Andes 安第斯白馬酒莊創立於阿根廷門多薩省北部的Lujande Cuyo,由LVMH酩悅·軒尼詩-路易·威登集團旗下兩大名莊阿根廷 Terrazas de los Andes 安第斯之階酒莊和法國 Saint-Emilion 聖埃美隆的一級酒莊A級 Chateau Cheval Blanc 白馬酒莊攜手創立於1999年,由 Cheval Blanc 的釀酒師兼經理 Pierre Lurton 先生與 Terrazas de los Andes 的釀酒師合作調配,酒莊既承載著白馬酒莊精湛的混釀技術,又保留了阿根廷馬爾貝克的風土特色,以 Malbec 及 Cabernet Sauvignon 這兩種植於高海拔的葡萄調配而成,並且每年的調配比例,會對應當年葡萄收成的品質而調節,專業技能與門多薩地區的高海拔葡萄栽培融會貫通,清新優雅的自然環境孕育出韻味悠長的安第斯佳釀,有著“Andes安第斯山脈的列級莊”之稱。
2015年的氣候從冬天到夏天的溫度記錄比以往要高,預示著將會面臨過度成熟的境遇,但好在二月份的及時雨拯救了過熟的情況,帶來了很好的新鮮度和理想的成熟度,風格更優雅微妙,更具波爾多的風格。47公頃的葡萄園只釀造一款葡萄酒,其中32公頃來自 Las Compuertas,15公頃來自 La Consulta,葡萄園海拔可達 1000米 高度,享有獨特的微氣候,降雨量較小,氣候較為涼爽,晝夜溫差較大,為葡萄生長提供清新,精緻的一面,釀出來的葡萄酒秉承著Pierre Lurton先生的釀酒哲學優雅的窖藏,Cheval des Andes makes wines that age gracefully and travel through the decades。
技術上與白馬酒莊一樣,實行細緻的葡萄園管理,實施有機農業,通過先進的土壤分析技術,將葡萄園劃分為不同地塊,分開管理,以最大程度地展現不同風土的特色。灌溉採用滴灌系統 (Drip Irrigation),更為精准地輸送給每一株葡萄藤,滿足不同葡萄藤的水分需求。酒莊一直致力於木桶與酒之間的平衡,經過多年試驗,使用更多比例的大桶400-500升容器來發酵,可保留更豐富的酒香,葡萄均由手工採摘,於35%新法國橡木酒桶內陳熟18個月,然後再將不同的葡萄酒進行調配。

Very perfumed aromas of crushed berries such as raspberries and lemon rind. Plenty of flowers and sandalwood, too. Full body, very fine tannins and focus with a lovely, ethereal sensibility, which gives it balance and freshness. I love the energy and precision. It's all about subtlety.

I retasted the 2015 Cheval des Andes, a blend of 69% Malbec and 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, not that different from the current 2017. In fact, the alcohol levels and acidity are also pretty similar, and the wines have some parallels. This is clearly the ripest and more tannic of the three vintages tasted together—2015, 2016 and 2017—a comparative tasting that shows the evolution of their work beyond the style of the vintage. Having said that, the wines show the character of the year more and more; they are more transparent and reflect the style of the vintage in a more precise way.

“Saved by the rains,” is how Lorenzo Pasquini describes the 2015 vintage of Cheval, as they delayed ripening in the grapes. It’s certainly a very elegant, refined red, blending Malbec with 28% Cabernet Sauvignon (there was no Cabernet Franc or Petit Verdot this year). Lighter in texture than the 2014, but with similar granular tannins, this is a fresh, focused wine of high quality with minerality, stylish oak and considerable length.

Dark ruby-red. Musky, wild aromas of black raspberry, boysenberry, espresso, licorice and sexy spices. Fat, plush and sweet but also savory, offering fully ripe, dense flavors of dark raspberry, blueberry, olive tapenade and smoky minerality. Quite broad and round, Spreads out on the ripely tannic, classically dry finish to coat the mouth with black and purple fruits.

Dense and brawny, featuring ripe dark fruit and Asian spice flavors, accented by cocoa powder notes. Shows creamy richness midpalate, with a finish that lingers with coffee bean details.
