為何部分Port酒正面瓶身會有白油的印記? 

大部分陳舊Port酒的正面瓶身都會有名為Splash Mark的白油印記。 

此為酒莊在酒窖陳存酒瓶時的記號，以茲識別酒瓶陳放時正面朝上的方向並了解沉積物所累積的地方(即白油Splash Mark的反方)。 

因此建議飲家在酒櫃存放Port酒時，同樣有酒標和白色Splash Mark的一面朝上方，並且在飲用前1-2天提前直立處置令沉積物提前沉至瓶底。

Churchill's（邱吉爾酒莊）位於葡萄牙的 Douro產區，是一家除了生產波特酒以外還生產優質杜羅河酒的精品酒莊。

邱吉爾酒莊於1981年由英國人 JohnGraham 創建，但是“Churchill’s”作為英國第一家波特酒銷售公司已經超過了50年。邱吉爾酒莊的成立源於 JohnGraham 希望延續家族的波特酒釀造傳統，通過建立一個酒莊來生產他自己的、與眾不同的酒。而酒莊的取名來自他的妻子Caroline Churchill 的名字。

相比大多數建立於18世紀末、19世紀初的波特酒釀造商，邱吉爾酒莊的歷史是非常短的。然而通過30來年努力與經營，Churchill's酒莊建立起了令人豔羨的聲譽。

酒莊葡萄園“Quintada Gricha”是1999年購買的，面積達50公頃的“A”級葡萄園。葡萄園坐落在杜羅河南岸，介於“Pinhão”和“Tua”之間。同年酒莊亦開始生產餐酒業務，餐酒“Churchill’sportfolio”在2004年開始面世。

酒莊波特酒釀造都在與葡萄園同名的“Quintada Gricha”中進行，採用波特酒傳統方法釀造，採摘回來的葡萄放在1852年建造的花崗岩敞口石槽裡，工人踐踏破碎，而非使用機械破碎。

The NV 20 Years Old Tawny Port is a field blendbottled (in a 500-milliliter bottle) in July 2015 with 102 grams per liter ofresidual sugar. This takes the "fresh and friendly" avenue. It is a20 that relies more on complexity and brightness than pure power. The finish islaced with a touch of rhubarb and herbs. It is quite delicious and moregripping on the finish than I thought it might be at first taste. Themid-palate is just average and there is not a lot of "old Tawny"flavor concentration. Yet, this works very well and on its own terms, succeedson class and finesse. Note that this has a bar top cork.
