🔍Domaine de Chevalier座落於Pessac-Leognan，Pessac-Leognan是位於Graves區的北部，1987年才獨立成為自己的AOC。 Domaine de Chevalier 於1953年Grave地區分級(Classificationof the Graves)時，被評為列級莊(Grand Cru Classé de Graves)，Graves地區分級是分開紅酒與白酒去評分，Domaine de Chevalier同時於紅酒跟白酒都得到Grands CrusClassés等級，只有14間酒莊同時做到。
酒莊歷史悠久，17世紀已文件記載，到1865年有詳細記錄由Jean Ricard開始栽種葡萄，他被視為莊園的創始人，之後他的女婿Gabriel Beaumartin管理莊園長達40年之久，直到1983年，Bernard Family（柏赫納家族）收購了該莊園，其間莊園只有3個主人，現任的莊主為Olivier Bernard(奧利維•柏赫納)。
Bernard Family為烈酒市場上占主導地位的家族，同時還是經營波爾多著名葡萄酒的重要酒商。Domaine de Chevalier是他們第一間酒莊，1993年Olivier Bernard被邀請管理Domaine de la Solitude。2009年，再被邀請管理同在Paccac-Leognan的Château Lespault-Martillac，當時的Château Lespault-Martillac並沒有理想的成績，莊主希望Olivier Bernard可以幫助提昇酒莊，而Olivier Bernard不負所托，令酒莊有進一步的發展。2006年Bernard家族更加成為Château Guiraud的股東之一，令家族進入甜白酒的領域，Château Guiraud貴為1855 Grand Cru classé of Sauternes，無疑令家族更上一層樓。
2011年，Olivier Bernard更開展了一個雄心勃勃的計劃——Clos des Lunes，在以貴腐甜酒著稱的Sauternes地區釀造品質卓越的乾白葡萄酒。

Love the finesse and length to this.Greatest ever.

The 2018 Domaine De Chevalier is a beauty.Based on 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, aged 18months in 35% new French oak, it has a beautiful sense of elegance and purity,which is very much in the style of the vintage as well as the domaine.Blackcurrants, black cherries, cold fireplace, damp earth, tobacco, andchocolate are just some of the nuances here, and this complex, medium tofull-bodied 2018 has gorgeous tannins, terrific balance, and a great finish. Ithas suppleness in its texture that allows it to offer pleasure even today, yetgiven its balance as well as purity, it deserves 5-7 years of bottle age andwill keep for 30+ years. It is another brilliant wine from the team of OlivierBernard.

The 2018 Domaine de Chevalier is easily oneof the wines of the vintage. A wine of mind-blowing precision and regalelegance, Domaine de Chevalier dazzles from the very first taste. Dried herbs,rose petal, mint, blood orange, pomegranate and bright mineral notes all buildin the glass. Richly layered but also translucent, the 2018 is a realhead-turner. Don't miss it!

Lovely rich depth to the nose. This is asuccessful wine with balance, power and elegance. Subtle with a ton ofcomplexity: blackberry and autumnal fruits, touches of hedgerow, slate,chocolate and crushed stone, with sweet raspberry purée as it opens up. Just alovely wine that you would be very happy to own. One-third new oak. Maintainedits success from en primeur.

Dreamy, with a velvety, caressing feel to amix of warmed cassis, plum reduction and cherry preserve flavors that glidethrough slowly, but surely, letting anise, sweet tobacco and mineral accentspeek in throughout. Very long, very refined.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30%Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, aged for approximately 18 months in oak barriques,35% new, the 2018 Domaine de Chevalier has a deep garnet-purple color, pouncingout of the glass with energetic scents of crushed blackcurrants, fresh, juicyblackberries and ripe plums, with suggestions of crushed rocks, bay leaves,unsmoked cigars and lavender. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed withmuscular black fruits, framed by firm, ripe, grainy tannins and great tension,finishing long and mineral laced. Give it another 4 years in bottle to fleshout and drink it over the next 25+ years.
