Domaine de la Charbonniere酒莊成立於1912年，是教皇新堡眾多酒莊之中最物超所值的葡萄酒競爭者，酒莊佔地約30公頃，擁有約18公頃在 Chateunefu du Pape，4公頃在 Vacqueyras ， 2公頃在 Cote du Rhone 及另外 4公頃屬 IGP。這一百年來從未易主，由 Maret 家族四代人管理，是家庭式的精釀小莊。Michel Maret是第三代接手打理，如今由兩女Caroline Maret和 Veronique Maret共同經營，而大女 Veronique Maret 從2012年已完全接管釀酒工作，非常年輕只是三十出頭，從熱情加溫的釀酒裏露出自我，所釀制的酒款圓熟有力，卻不失均衡，相當優雅。在他們的帶領之下，更新釀酒設備並堅定有機葡萄種植，為酒莊帶來新的視角與活力。每年約產出 5800箱酒。

酒莊出產7款葡萄酒，Charbonniere Chateauneuf du Pape, Charbonniere Cuvee Mourre des Perdrix (Sandy Soils) , Charbonniere Cuvee Singularis, Charbonniere Les Hautes Brusquieres Cuvee Speciale ( Stoney soils) , Charbonniere Cuvee Vieilles Vignes, Charbonniere Blanc, Charbonniere l’Envol。在Vacqueyras擁有4公頃，帕克稱他家的Vacqueyras葡萄酒是最被低估的酒款之一，而Mourre des Perdrix由兩位女性之手打造更是展現出黑皮諾般的高雅與純粹。

葡萄園大部分位於產區的西北部，散佈在Chateauneuf du Pape各處，最好的葡萄園位於La Crau，因而有著豐富的風土類型，從沙子到粘土到岩石土壤。Charbonniere Cuvee Mourre des Perdrix由 70%的 Grenache、15%的 Mourvedre 和15%的 Syrah 釀制而成，其葡萄樹的樹齡在30-50年之間，於Foudres 大橡木桶中發酵及陳釀12至18個月，每年的產量只有 650箱，供應遠不足於巿場要求。在Robert Parker的報道裏，2010年是酒莊的上乘之作，飲用之時表現出最優雅與女性化的一面，陳存潛力達15年以上。

Lastly, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Mourredes Perdrix is the most fine, elegant and silky, with beautiful notes of dried flowers, black raspberry, dried earth and spice. Medium to full-bodied, pure and layered, it’s not a blockbuster, but it shines for its balance, length and texture. Coming from the sandy, clay soils located just behind the estate, this cuvee is always the most fine, elegant and lightly textured of the special cuvees, yet it ages gracefully on its balance. Drink it anytime over the coming 10-15 years
