Les Evocelles 是 Gevrey-Chambertin 產區 Brochon 村海拔400米高處的葡萄園,葡萄園的土壤多為黏土與石灰岩構成的複合土壤,黏土偏酸、屬性涼冷,石灰岩質地堅硬、肥力貧瘠,十分適宜黑皮諾的生長。酒莊在葡萄園的管理上遵循低產優質的原則,剪枝時對枝條數量的控制十分嚴格,葡萄樹掛果之後,還會根據需要不時進行疏果工作。

葡萄園採用 lutte raisonnée 葡萄藤競爭的方法管理和耕種,最少的人工干預和化學物質使用,採摘挑選最優質的葡萄串,然後將其100%全部去梗,隨後進行為期4-6天的浸皮,發酵過程不淋皮,而是採用更加溫和輕柔的方式讓酒帽與葡萄汁充分接觸。發酵完成後,葡萄酒會被轉入橡木桶中度過2個冬季,期間只換桶一次,在20-30%的新橡木桶發酵16-18個月,熟化之後直接裝瓶,不過濾,不澄清。

This is quite similar aromatically to the Gevrey villages though there is a bit more earth and stone emphasis that precedes the equally earthy and stony medium-bodied flavors that possess superb extract and stunning intensity on the detailed, punch and tension-filled finish that is also quite firm and dusty. The balance is impeccable and that should reward 10 to 15 years of cellar time.

Bright medium red. Lovely lift to the aromas and flavors of red cherry, raspberry liqueur, rose petal and minerals; avoids the excesses of the very warm vintage. Suave, sweet and energetic, offering a mid-palate thickness without any impression of heaviness. Perfectly ripe fruit with energy. Finishes broad, very long and floral, with ripe tannins and an impression of delicacy.

The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Champonnets offers up dried flowers, berries and spices in a pretty, mineral-laced style that is quite appealing. This is a fairly approachable Gevrey with gorgeous inner fragrance and a finely sculpted finish. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.


Louis Boillot remarked that he and his wife Ghislaine Barthod were the first to harvest in 2009, but the last in 2008. In 2009 Boillot was concerned with losing the singular expression of site, hence his decision to pick on the early side. The 2009s were made from 100% destemmed fruit, as is the custom here. New oak reached a maximum of 25-30%. Boillot is among the growers who prefers the 2008s to the 2009s, which he describes as more faithful and transparent to site.
