背景

1405年就已開業的傳統釀造世家·當時由 Taupenot 及 Merme 兩家族 共同經營·1998由第7代傳人弟弟 Romain接管，及後姐姐 Virginie Taupenot 加入共同經營，Virginie負責對外，而Romain 則專心釀酒。在姊弟同心協力之下，質素口碑不斷提升，就連葡萄酒女王 Jancis Robinson 也曾說過酒莊質量每年也在提升” they have a determination to make better wine every year’ and this situation has continued with …”。時至今天酒莊已是布根地無人不識的精品酒莊。雖然酒莊總共有13公頃田園，以獨立酒酒莊來說規模很，而且遍佈20個AOC，但卻非常著重質量，刻意降低收成量，提升葡萄質素。又於2001年開始有機耕作，與很多布根地的大師一樣，認為好的葡萄酒是始於葡萄園的土壤，其他的都只是輔助。另外，酒莊同時也是法國獨立酒莊協會（Vignerons Independants de France）的元老會員之一，對於宣揚獨立酒莊的精緻化農業有著莫大的貢獻。 酒莊旗下的Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Combe d'Orveau"、Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru、Mazoyères Chambertin Grand Cru 三款佳釀由於產量少品質超優，常常一推出即被老行家一掃而空。

釀造時，通常採收日期取決於品嚐葡萄的種子這是酚類成熟度的良好指標。採收是全人手並且經過嚴格篩選在進行冷浸泡約十天已提取風味和色澤之前完全去梗。發酵在溫控不鏽鋼桶進行。莊主理念是不接種不添加人工酵母，發酵僅由野生的本地酵母進行。 在整個發酵過程中，小心地清除色素和殘渣，以實現多酚（尤其是單寧酸）的溫和提取。 蘋果酸乳酸發酵可以自然地在桶中進行。

The2002 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru clearly has more charm on the nosecompared to the previous vintage, offering rustic, almost ferrous scents ofredcurrant and cranberry, hints of pressed flowers in the background. Thepalate is medium-bodied with a grippy entry, edgy tannin, a little drynesstowards the finish but there is more presence and weight than the 2001. Itwould definitely show much better on the dinner table and it will not improvefurther, so feel free to uncork any bottles in the near future.
