Giovanni Manzone（曼卓酒莊）地處義大利 Piedmont（皮埃蒙特） Monforted'Alba（夢馥迪）產區的一個村莊，位於高海拔1100-1600英尺(350-500米)的陡峭山坡上。Monforte d'Alba 是出產著名 Barolo 的葡萄產區，GiovanniManzone 在 Alba 擁有 15 公里的土地，在 Barolo 擁有5公里，是一個小型的酒莊，擁有 8 公頃的葡萄園。目前，酒莊由 Manzone 家族的 Mauro Manzone 和 Mirella Manzone 掌管。

酒莊擁有三大葡萄園，分別被命名為“Elevation”、“ExtremeSteepness”和“GreatTerroir”。為了保證葡萄酒的品質，這三大葡萄園每年只生產約50,000 瓶葡萄酒。酒莊遵循“健康”和“可持續”的葡萄栽培理念，培育了一批優質的葡萄園。在這些葡萄園的管理中，很少使用化學肥料，主要是採用雜草、植物等綠肥，葡萄農們在必要的時候進行除草，但這些草會就地保留在葡萄株附近，以形成獨特的腐殖土，為葡萄園增加養分，生產過程全都是人手生產，不採用機器，以維護天然環境為原則。

酒莊以釀造紅葡萄酒為主，所有的葡萄酒都未加以分類，釀造過程中儘量減少二氧化硫的使用，採用未經過濾裝瓶。Nebbiolo（內比奧羅）是酒莊的主要釀酒葡萄，酒莊主要推出 Bricat Barolo和 Gramolere Barolo 等多種酒款。另外Langhe Bianco Rosserto 是 Manzone酒莊的特有葡萄。此葡萄是於 1880年的一個古老酒莊種植的，後來被酒莊接手後，於近 30 年來用作生產獨特的白葡萄酒。

The 2006 Barolo Bricat shows a touch more richness and depth than the Gramolere. Dark cherries, plums and herbs come together nicely on a mid-weight frame laced with considerable aromatic nuance, textural elegance and complexity. The Bricat is a highly appealing wine from Manzone.

Manzone's 2006 Barolo Bricat (from the highest and best-exposed part of the Gramolere) is the most firm and structured of these 2006 Barolos. Sweet herbs, cherries, red berries, tobacco and cedar come together in a beguiling, contemplative expression of Nebbiolo. The Bricat was aged in a combination of cask and 700-liter French oak barrels.

This is meaty, showing a sweet core of cherry, licorice and leather flavors matched to a chewy, firmly structured frame. A little on the rustic side, but I like the overall balance and length.
