A refined, pretty and balanced red with berries. Fresh. 80 per cent merlot.

The 2016 Marjosse, Pierre Lurton's property in Entre-Deux-Mers, has a pretty black olive and blackberry-scented bouquet, with a touch of pencil box emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, plenty of sappy black fruit with a dash of white pepper on the finish. Fine.
