位於南澳 McLaren Vale 的 Noon Winery 是澳洲頂級膜拜酒莊之一，創始人是現任莊主 Drew Noon 的父親 David Noon。 David Noon 以前是一名法國教師，1976年，他決定冒一次險，放棄了自己的教師職業，開始以釀制紅葡萄酒為生。後來，David Noon 購買了一點 Shiraz ，與 Grenache 葡萄混釀，釀制出酒莊標誌性的紅葡萄酒。他最初將這款濃郁的紅葡萄酒命名為“Burgundy”，不過，現在人們稱之為“Eclipse”。之後，在接下來的27年裡，酒莊的釀酒技術和酒產量都沒有發生任何變化。
膜拜酒莊有幾個共通點：首先酒款品質非常高，經常獲得非常高的評分，Noon Winery 第一個年份是 1997，一上市就獲得 WA98 高分，從 1997 到 2016 年幾乎每年都獲得95-99高分，最重要的是它被 Robert Parker 列入世界156間最偉大的酒莊之一。再來是酒廠產量極低以及粉絲眾多，酒款經常成為拍賣場的熱門。Noon Winery 所有酒款均出自樹齡數十年的老藤葡萄園，因此每年產量極低，但卻有3款酒上榜澳洲酒權威蘭頓評級，分別是：傑出級的 Reserve Shiraz 和 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve，以及蘭頓評級中唯一的一款 Grenache 為主導的混釀：Eclipse。酒莊的酒窖每年只對外開放6天，其餘的酒全部都被內部會員預購完畢。所以每年酒莊開放的那6天裡，來自各地的愛酒人士都會在酒莊門口大排長龍等待著新年份葡萄酒開售的時刻。
現在莊主 Drew Noon，是在1996年從父親 David Noon 手中接管酒莊。他本身是一位釀酒／葡萄栽植顧問，更是其中一位在澳洲最早成為 Master of Wine 的人。多半在維多利亞州為人工作，也在 Cassegrain 酒莊擔任過釀酒師，最後回到自己的家，將酒莊帶入了另一個境界，以豐富濃郁的路線為主，吸引了一群忠誠的追隨者，在澳洲美國更廣受好評。Drew Noon 不著重金錢，而注重葡萄園的可持續性發展，以100 年後的情況作為管理的目標。除保留葡萄園中的老藤葡萄樹外，再加上使用生物動力法，由春天剪枝到秋天收割的每一個步驟均親力親為，用全人手方式進行。他說希望自己的子孫接手時，葡萄樹仍然是充滿生氣，能持續生產出優質的葡萄酒。
酒莊的葡萄園共佔地16.79英畝（約6.8公頃），種植的葡萄品種有 Grenache、Shiraz 和 Carbernet Sauvignon。1934年到1943年期間，種植 Grenache，60年代初種植 Shiraz，70年代初種植 CarbernetSauvignon。葡萄樹的種植密度大約為1,800株/公頃。南澳很多酒莊都轉為種植利潤較高的Shiraz 和 Carbernet Sauvignon，他們仍種植 Grenache 的時候，莊主便解釋這是因為他的田地很接近一片膠樹林，膠樹生長時會吸取大量水份，令相鄰田地會變得較乾旱，再加上樹蔭為田地造成了陰影，使葡萄園如天造地設般非常適合表皮較薄、易受猛烈陽光曬傷但又適合乾旱生長環境的 Grenache 成長。所以當所有人也在放棄因產量降低、又需要大量高成本人手照顧的老藤 Grenache 時，他們堅持繼續釀造自己心目中理想的 Grenache 紅酒，希望這些老藤會被承傳下去，不會消失在 McLaren Vale。
在葡萄酒釀制方面，Noon Winery 的酒皆為手工釀制，使用傳統的敞口發酵桶和籃式壓榨機，產量很少。酒在小型（300升）和大型（2,500到4,500升）橡木桶中陳放18個月，待成熟後再裝瓶（在每年收穫季節後的9月份），之前不進行任何澄清和過濾。酒在釀制和成熟的過程中，添加劑的含量和人為干預程度降到最低，使葡萄盡可能保持天然的特點。
Noon Eclipse 第一個年份上市也獲得 RP:95 高分以 Grenache 為主（约65%）再配以 Langhorne Creek 的 Shiraz ，來源同 Reserve Shiraz，近年來此酒的 Grenache 提升至80%，不過葡萄來源改為 McLaren Vale。

The 2006 Eclipse is a blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Shiraz, sourced from 60- to 80-year-old vines in McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. The wine spent 18 months in small and large French and American oak. Dark ruby colored, it offers a fragrant, already complex bouquet of violets, mineral, Asian spices, leather, black cherry, and blueberry. Remarkably elegant and impeccably balanced, on the palate notes of garrigue, licorice, and kirsch emerge leading into a 60+-second finish. It can be enjoyed now but for optimum pleasure, give it another five years of cellaring and drink it through 2026.

A blend of roughly 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah and the lightest, most elegant of the trio, the 2006 Noon Eclipse presents a perfumed, complex profile with sweet blackberry and restrained blueberry fruit, root vegetable, spice and a subtle undercurrent of thyme and lavender. It’s medium to full bodied in the mouth with gorgeous purity, a rich, yet light texture, impeccable balance and a long, seamless finish. This grew on me over the evening and held up admirably over the three days the bottle was open. If drinking anytime soon, decant. This is delicious now but has the capacity to drink well over the next 8 to 10 years.
