「Father Bernard grows fruit, and is the manof the soil. Yann has taken the domaine forward to greater specialisation inwine, and it is now an accomplished, organic estate. There is exuberant fruitin the classic red from this domaine situated on the plain. The Rouvre,formerly known as Tête de Cuvée red, is some way ahead in depth and interestand shows well in its more mature phase from about four years onwards. Theseare good, funky wines with sleek textures. 」

Yann Chave 雅恩沙芙酒莊位於法國的羅納河谷(Rhone Valley)葡萄酒產區,是一家家族經營的酒莊,現 Nichole 和 Bernard Chave 買在 Mercurol 村買下了 4 公頃的土地開如,由一開始只種了1公頃的葡萄園及一些果樹,到後來有足夠的資金將餘下的3公頃也種葡萄樹,一開如他們是將葡萄出售予 Tain l' Hermitage 合作社,在 1983年將酒莊跟酒窖建立起來,1996是第一個年份以酒莊名字裝瓶出售,現任莊主是 Bernard Chave 的兒子   Yann ChaveYann Chave 於 1996年從父親   Bernard 手中接任,並在   2001 年將 Domaine 的名字改成了   Yann Chave, 如今他創造了北羅納河谷(Northern Rhône)最好,最優雅的葡萄酒。





現在 Yann Chave 的葡萄園面積已達20公頃,包括有1.2公頃的 Hermitage法定葡萄品種,17公頃的 Crozes Hermitage 紅葡萄品種和0.76公頃的 Crozes Hermitage 白葡萄品種。酒莊根據不同的土壤特性和氣候條件,分別種植適宜的葡萄品種並加以嚴格管理,以獲得品質卓越的葡萄。葡萄成熟後,酒莊對葡萄進行人工採收。





Yann Chave 2000年初與有機農業合作對葡萄園進行有機耕種,並於2007年獲得有機認證。儘管對葡萄園進行有機耕種,某些年份(例如2008年初)帶來了問題,但他深信自己在改善土壤結構,果實品質和較低的 pH 值方面獲得了巨大的收益,為他提供的葡萄不僅香氣更濃,而且口感更好,他的酒結構更精細。 Yann 的指導下,他的葡萄酒迅速崛起,成為 Crozes Hermitage Hermitage 最好的葡萄酒。

The 2010 Hermitage is clearly the biggest, richest and most age worthy wine of this trio. It boasts a dense purple color along with notes of creme de cassis, smoked herbs, licorice and graphite. Full-bodied with outstanding depth, purity, power and overall equilibrium as well as beautifully pure fruit and an enticing texture, it can be drunk early in life or cellared for two decades. Despite the name, Yann Chave is not related to the Chaves of Mauves. However, this under-the-radar producer deserves more attention from Northern Rhone enthusiasts. 

 

🏅Decanter 96 pts

Intense butcher's shop aromas, with smoked meat and a touch of VA.Powerful but not overly full in the mouth, the tannins are still chiselled and serrated. Piercing acidity runs through it to a very long, powerful finish.It's ready now, but will age with real interest. Really fabulous, growling and energetic – an Hermitage in wolf's clothing. 

 

🏅Vinous 93 pts

Opaque purple. Exotic aromas of dark fruit preserves, bitter chocolate,fruitcake, vanilla and licorice. Fat, sappy and sweet, with uncommon breadth and sexy floral tones to its black and blue fruit. Strikes a suave balance between richness and vivacity and finishes with silky tannins and excellent,spicy persistence.
