Amarano is located in the Montemarano Wine Growing Center in Contrada Torre, Avellino, in the gentle hills in front of the village of Castelfranci, a region that produces excellent wines with taurine.

Here, the eye leaves space between the gentle hills where the river meanders, countless lakes, forests and mountains covered with chestnuts, beeches and oaks, and the breeze caresses the vineyards. As we all know, the most beautiful places are often the best places to produce wine. In fact, Amarano was born in 2004.

The company is family-run, headed by Lucia Storti and Adele Romano, with winemaker Carmine Valentino assisting in the cellar. Today, Amarano owns more than 7 hectares of land, specializing in the production of Irpinia wines of great interest, which are characterized by a remarkable longevity, just like the rest of the appellation.

Among these, the famous red wines based on Aglianico 'Taurasi' stand out as one of the most elegant and long-lived Italian red wines. In the past, Taurasi was often referred to as the "Barolo of the South", but today it enjoys its own prestige, charm and international success as a fine wine that illustrates the sensational "terroir" of Irpinia.

Other wines to consider include other Aglianico-based labels, as well as Irpinia's inevitable white wines such as Greco di Tufo, Fiano D'Avellino and Coda di Volpe.

Dried red berries on the nose with hints of iron and bright spice. Full-bodied with bright, spicy flavors, lightly firm tannins and a long, intense finish. I like the focus and youthful feel here. Give this a little more time to reach its peak.
