Distillery

Bacardi originated in Cuba in 1862, and its headquarters are now located in Hamilton, Bermuda. It is the world's largest rum producer. Bacardi Rum was developed by T. F. Bacardi, who immigrated to Cuba from Spain in 1830. In 1862, Bacardi began producing rum, dissatisfied with the crude methods and strong, harsh taste of existing rum, and successfully created a smooth, colorless, and light-bodied rum. Today, it has distilleries in Hamilton, British Bermuda, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Mexico, Brazil, and other locations.

Distillation

Founded in 1862, Bacardi was a pioneer in applying charcoal filtration to rum production. The so-called charcoal filtration method involves burning different types of wood into charcoal. This charcoal is characterized by its varying density and porosity, which completely filters out impurities from the rum's initial product, leaving behind its final aromatic flavor. This advanced process, combined with Facundo Bacardi's exclusive recipe, makes Bacardi rum purer and more uniquely smooth than other brands.

Classic white rum has a distinctive vanilla and almond flavor, is made in white oak barrels, and is further enhanced by a secret blend of charcoal, resulting in a uniquely smooth texture.
