🌟 The winery is favored by the French Crown Princess
🌟 White wine made from 100% red grapes

The castle was built between 1744 and 1750 by Jean-Baptiste DE RICHON, a lawyer at the Paris Parlement and a judge of the civil and criminal courts of the Principality of Fronsac. Shortly after the castle was completed, Marie-Josèphe DE SAXE, wife of Prince Louis-Ferdinand DE FRANCE (son of Louis XV), Dauphinée of France, and mother of the last few kings of France, including Louis XVI, lived here for a short time. This event greatly helped to increase the manor's fame, and it was renamed to its current name in honor of the princess's visit. In 1985, François-Régis MARCETTEAU DE BREM sold the winery to the MOUEIX family (which owns Pétrus, Troon, Marguerite, etc.). In 2015, the winery was taken over by the LABRUNE family, the founder and owner of CEGEDIM, a medical technology and service company. .Continuing the unremitting efforts of the previous winery owner for fifteen years, the Labun family adheres to the same strategy: using biodynamic methods to produce outstanding wines that can interpret the delicate characteristics of the terroir. During its 350-year history, the winery has continued to expand, and today the vineyard area has reached 53 hectares. Château Dufy is one of the largest wineries in the Libourne region.

Fronsac is located a few miles west of the town of Libourne on the right bank of Bordeaux, close to the north bank of the Dordogne River. It is a famous wine producing area east of Bordeaux.
The foot of the hillsides in the production area are mostly alluvial soils on the banks of the Dordogne River. The grapes grown on this soil are of superior quality. The slopes are slightly higher, and the surface soil is mostly sand, limestone, and clay accumulation, which allows the grown vines to withstand hot weather. The grapes here are not affected by the high temperature, but the quality has become better, and the flavor, aroma, and structure of the brewed wine are more balanced. In addition to the Dordogne River, there is also the Isle River that runs through the production area, which results in Fronsac having a comfortable temperate maritime climate. The good microclimate formed by the abundant water resources here greatly reduces the impact of spring night frosts and alleviates the summer heat, providing a very comfortable environment for the growth of grapes.

This white wine is made entirely from the red grape variety Merlot. It is a new product launched by Chateau de La Dauphine. It has a refreshing style and is especially suitable for drinking in summer.
