About Domaine de Cibadies

Les Domaines Bonfils is above all a family story. Winegrowers from father to son since 1870, Jean-Michel Bonfils and his three sons, Olivier, Laurent and Jérôme, manage 16 family properties, i.e. 1200 hectares of vines in Languedoc-Roussillon and Bordeaux. In Languedoc-Roussillon, we note in particular the Domaine de Cibadiès (95 hectares), which hosts the administrative and commercial structures of all the properties belonging to the Bonfils family.

Anecdote

The hill is famous for its fierce lightning storms. As a buffer against their intensity, Pierre Paul Riquet himself invented and designed the weirs at Capestang during building work on the Canal du Midi. Pegasus, the winged horse and master of storms in mythology, has been the emblem and protector of our estate since time immemorial.
