Boursot Pere & Fils dates back to the 16th century. As early as 1550, ancestor Guillaume Boursot began growing grapes and producing wine in Chambolle-Musigny. This pedigree makes it a long-standing family-run winery in the village. 13th-generation descendants Rémy Boursot and his wife Annick Boursot officially founded Boursot Pere & Fils. Today, in its 15th generation, the family is jointly managed by Rémy and his wife's two sons. The eldest, Romaric Boursot, is responsible for marketing, while the second, Romuald Boursot, is the winemaker and oversees the vineyards.
This winery has been repeatedly cited by wine critics Jasper Morris and Neal Martin as a small-scale winery worth watching. While already well-known locally, it remains relatively unknown in the international market and a promising stock that has yet to be inflated.

Les Fuees is Boursot's proud flagship premier cru, second only to Les Amoureuses in quality and reputation within the village. Over 75 years old, the vines are situated high up on a slope, just a stone's throw from the Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares. Geological investigations have confirmed that they extend the upper slopes of the Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru! It's practically a hidden Grand Cru, accessible at premier cru prices!
Les Fuees covers 4.38 hectares in the southwest corner of Chambolle-Musigny, sharing an altitude of 280 to 300 meters with Bonnes-Mares. This southeast-facing vineyard slopes gently, creating a complex and unique soil structure.
The soil on the upslope is thin, rich in limestone and hard rocks, while the soil on the lower slopes is thicker and richer in clay. This geological setting seamlessly connects with Bonnes-Mares, ensuring that the grapes absorb the rich minerality of the parent rock, imparting a rigorous structure and depth of flavor to the wines. The unique microclimate of this region also allows Les Fuées wines to combine elegant fruit with complex minerality, exhibiting remarkable balance and depth.
Les Fuées is not only geographically closely connected to Bonnes-Mares, but also shares many common terroirs. However, while retaining the characteristically elegant aromas of Chambolle-Musigny, Les Fuées wines exhibit the distinctive earthy notes and depth of flavor characteristic of Bonnes-Mares, creating a sense of elegance yet maintaining a certain wildness. This fusion gives Les Fuées wines a softer, more complex flavor profile than many Bonnes-Mares varieties, making them a favorite among wine lovers.

All grapes at the winery are hand-harvested. After rigorous selection, fresh grapes are quickly transported to the winery. After destemming and crushing, the juice is transferred to fermentation tanks for fermentation. The winemaker determines the fermentation time based on the ripeness of the grapes, generally lasting 15-25 days. The wine is then transferred to oak barrels for aging for 18-24 months before being bottled and packaged at the winery.
