Chateau La Fleur Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2021《ZF191C》

Château La Fleur, located in the prestigious Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation on the right bank of Bordeaux, France, is a key boutique winery under the Dassault Wine Estates group. Since acquiring Château La Fleur in 2002, the Dassault Group has continuously upgraded its vineyard management and winemaking facilities, striving to showcase the unique elegance of Saint-Émilion.

Château La Fleur owns approximately 22 hectares of vineyards with an average vine age of about 33 years. The vineyards are situated on the characteristic clay-limestone terroir of Saint-Émilion. This type of soil provides excellent drainage while retaining moisture, allowing the grapes to maintain balance during ripening, resulting in wines with more delicate fruit aromas, minerality, and elegant structure. The south- and southwest-facing vineyards also receive ample sunlight, helping the grapes reach ideal ripeness.

The wines are centered around Merlot, comprising approximately 85%, with additions of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon to enhance structure and complexity. Merlot delivers aromas of ripe red and black fruits, a smooth palate, and a rounded texture, while Cabernet Franc offers floral notes, finesse, and aging potential, resulting in an overall style that combines the signature elegance and power of Saint-Émilion's right bank wines.

In winemaking, the estate employs meticulous management, vinifying wines separately for each vineyard plot to preserve the terroir of each region. After hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo rigorous selection before fermentation in a temperature-controlled environment. Following fermentation, the wines age for approximately 14 to 16 months, utilizing various aging methods including French oak barrels, terracotta tanks, and concrete tanks, which enhance the wine's texture and complexity while retaining its pure fruit flavors.
