Domaine Estienne de Lagrange is a family-owned estate located in Beaujolais, France, passed down and managed across seven generations by the Delore Family. Adhering steadfastly to an artisan spirit, the winery focuses on crafting high-quality Cru Beaujolais that perfectly expresses its local terroir, dedicated to shattering the public misconception that the region produces only easy-drinking Beaujolais Nouveau and showcasing complexity and elegance that rival the fine appellations of Burgundy.

The core vineyards of the estate are situated in the premier Crus of Beaujolais. Among them, the village of Fleurie is famous for its renowned Pink Granite soil, where the roots of old vines dig deep into the granite fissures, imparting signature minerality and refined acidity to the wine; the winery even holds the iconic, top-tier La Roilette parcel in this village. Meanwhile, in Moulin-à-Vent—revered as the "King of Beaujolais"—the soil is rich in a unique manganese element that naturally limits vine overgrowth, further concentrating fruit aromas and tannin structure. In addition, the estate produces the exceptionally rare Beaujolais Blanc, showcasing the region's uncommon white terroir charm.

Winemaking


In terms of winemaking, the estate implements strict yield control starting right from vineyard management, ensuring the fruit reaches optimal maturity at harvest. The fermentation stage combines traditional semi-carbonic maceration with classic red winemaking techniques, fully preserving the vibrant, expressive fresh fruit aromas of Gamay while extracting a solid and elegant structure. The aging process is precisely tailored to each wine: select cuvées mature in stainless steel tanks to maintain pure fruit flavors, whereas the higher-end series undergo time-honored aging in French oak barrels, adding delicate, complex layers of oak, vanilla, and spice.
