Ancient copper pot still
In a copper distiller, copper ions will dissociate during the distillation process. The dissociated copper ion will grab sulfur-containing compounds during the distillation process, so that some highly volatile sulfur-containing compounds will be adsorbed on the inner wall of the copper distiller and will not be distilled out. These sulfur-containing compounds usually have a pungent and pungent odor, and even make people feel a smelly odor.
