At the end of the 1990s, Rafael and José Guilisasti were very visionary in perceiving that the market was beginning to change, and global consumers were beginning to consciously choose the products they were consuming, not just in terms of their health, but also due to its environmental and social effects.

Together with visionary winemaker Álvaro Espinoza, they began converting a conventional Chilean winery into a 100% organic and biodynamic winery, with the firm objective of creating wines of the highest quality while respecting people and the environment.

After more than 2 decades, what began as a dream is today a full portfolio of products, with recognitions both domestic and international, that meet the needs of today’s consumer.

Tasting Note:

Of dark and deep purple color, this wine unfolds numerous aromatic layers as it opens up with air: forest fruits such as blueberries, blackberries, and black plums, spices, and smoky notes are part of its essence. On the palate, we find flavors that remind us of graphite and licorice. With an enveloping but lean mouth feeling, it offers a juicy acidity.

Very perfumed nose with some dark olives to the black cherries, peppermint and wild herbs. A hint of violet. Quite bright on the palate with a saline note to the juicy fruit core. Tannins are tense and fine-grained. Tight and long. 3-4% viognier. 14 months in foudres.

The 2021 Syrah Signos de Origen from Casablanca was aged for up to 14 months in foudres and a quarter in concrete vats. Dark purple in hue. The nose offers attractively clear, expressive notes of raspberry, blackberry and pepper over a bed of sandalwood. Silky on the palate with a terse, delicate feel, the bold finish lingers at length before fruity aftertaste.
