Winery

Chateau Nenin, located in the prestigious Pomerol sub-region of Bordeaux, was acquired in 1997 by the Delon family, who also own the Second Growth Leoville Las Cases. Utilizing top winemaking consultant Michel Rolland, it has achieved remarkable success in a short time. Featured in episode 14 of the TV series *Drops of God*, it was described as having the feel of first love, and has consistently received high scores from various wine critics, with James Suckling awarding it as high as 98 points!

Region

After the acquisition, 4 hectares of vineyards from Chateau Certan Giraud were added. The remaining vineyards are Hosanna and Certan Marzelle, acquired by Christian Moueix, owner of Petrus.

Nenin's 32 hectares of vineyards are adjacent to another top Moueix estate, Trotanoy, and are also near Le Pin, one of the most expensive appellations in the region. Nenin's flagship vineyard uses only 8 hectares of prime vineyards at an altitude of 30 meters, with a gentle, sloping terroir rich in clay and gravel. The Cabernet Franc vines planted after the acquisition are selected from Leoville Las Cases' Massal Selection vines! Considering these top-tier specifications, the price offers excellent value.

Very aromatic with sliced-mushroom, berry, and dark-bark aromas and flavors. Dark chocolate, too. Medium-bodied with integrated tannins and a savory finish. Structured, yet balanced second wine of Nenin. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc.
