HououBiden Brewery, Kobayashi shuzo wasestablished in the 5th year of Meiji era (1872) at Koyama city in Tochigiprefecture. Formerly known as Mitamura village, it is a land with beautifulrice fields as far as the eye can see and plenty of infiltrated water fromNikko mountains. HououBiden was born from this land.

We keep brewing high-quality ginjo shu with our 150 years of history,tradition, and sensibility as our unique values.

Plentiful ground water from Nikko’s water veinirrigates rice fields which spread as far as the eye can see. Pleasant windblows through a range of Nikko mountains and results in healthy rice plants.

This rich land with majestic and delicatenature is the best environment to brew sake.
