Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy, is a new winery that has attracted much attention in recent years. Jean-Michel Guillon is a native Parisian. He was originally an aircraft maintenance worker. He visited and fell in love with Burgundy by chance and decided to become a winemaker. More than 40 years have passed since the establishment of the winery, and it has been handed over to the second generation Alexis to run it together. It has now grown to a scale of 14 hectares with a total of 21 wines.

The most eye-catching thing is the number of new oak barrels they purchase. They are second only to the famous DRC and the Poor House, becoming the top three buyers of new oak barrels in Burgundy. Of course, thanks to the unique style of the winery, all wines are brewed with 100% new barrels to create a modern style! Thanks to the help of Rene Galland, a famous consultant in Burgundy, the style of the wines has successfully achieved a balance between new barrels and terroir!

The winery has been on the "Michelin" of the French wine industry for many years, and has won high scores from Allen Meadows, the god of Burgundy. I believe this is a great affirmation of the winery's unique barrel craftsmanship!

The name of this wine "Cuvée Père Galland" is to pay tribute to René Galland, the godfather consultant who provided a lot of assistance in the early days of the winery. From the two plots of Les Crais and Les Murots, which are located downhill from the village, there are many gravels in the alluvial cone soil, which presents a more mature and smooth wine style! The aroma includes fresh blackberries, stewed plums, wet soil, and smoky aromas. The taste is rich and full, the tannins are smooth, the overall balance and the aftertaste are complex!
