La Petite Marquise du Clos du Marquis 2020 Saint Julien 375ml《FH181》

Château Clos du Marquis, located in the Saint-Julien appellation, is a sister estate to Leoville-Las-Cases (a Super Second Growth), Chateau Potensac (a Cru Bourgeois), and Chateau Nenin (a Pomerol). Theophile Skawinski, then manager of Leoville-Las-Cases, acquired a portion of the estate's shares and later transferred them to his son-in-law, Andre Delon. Subsequently, the powerful Delon family continued to acquire shares, eventually becoming the sole owner. To highlight the distinct terroir of its different plots, in 1902, Clos du Marquis began vinifying its grapes separately, establishing it as an independent wine brand.

The vineyard originates from Petit Clos, a small estate adjacent to the Chateau de Léoville-Marquis de Las Cases. Its excellent terroir also belongs to the Saint-Julien appellation, but it is located further west, surrounded by many famous classified growths, especially second growths in Saint-Julien and Pauillac, such as Léoville Poyferré, Léoville Barton, and Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. It is located 500 meters west of the Leoville-Las-Cases estate, but it is not within the Leoville-Las-Cases terroir.

Since its launch, it has been pursued as a sub-brand of Leoville-Las-Cases until 2007, when Lions Manor launched a new sub-brand wine, Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases. The original Clos du Marguis became a separate wine.
The wine 'La Petite Marquise' du Clos du Marquis is the second wine of Clos du Marguis.
Gem red wine color with concentrated and full aromas with blackcurrant, raspberry, licorice and silky floral notes. On the palate with black fruit, smoky, brown, vanilla and other flavors. Good acidity, balanced, smooth, long aftertaste, vintage and drinkable.
