Matsui Shuzo was founded in 1910 in Tottori Prefecture, Japan, and has a history of more than 100 years. It started out by making shochu and is the oldest existing brewery in Tottori Prefecture. Originally, it was a brewery that mainly produced shochu, sake and sake. It was not until 2015, when the Japanese whiskey trend was at its peak, that Matsui Shuzo established a whiskey distillery named "Kurayoshi Distillery". The city of Kurayoshi in Tottori Prefecture, where it is located, has rich natural vegetation, and the mountain streams with soft and sweet water run through the entire area. Since the water quality in Tottori Prefecture is one of the best in Japan, Matsui Shuzo began to develop another alcohol sales line - whiskey. Matsui aims to leave a deep impression on wine lovers while enjoying fine wine. The whisky series includes: Kurayoshi, Matsui, Tottori, Sanin, Daisen, etc.

Brewed in Japan's unique Mizuno oak barrels and carefully brewed with natural deep water from the Xiufeng Mountain. It has an oriental scent of kiara, senko, and sandalwood, and a hint of fruity sweetness in the spiciness. It is worth mentioning that the scent of senko is a unique aroma produced after using Mizuno casks.
