SHINOBU DISTILLERY, located in Niigata Prefecture, is surrounded by Sea of Japan and beautiful mountains.  Niigata is praised for its “Three White Treasures” – the Snow, Rice, and Sake, thanks to its pure water source.  The SHIN Blended Whisky is made by carefully selected malt and grain whisky and aged in ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks before finishing in rare Japanese Mizunara Oak.  The Master Distiller, Ken Usami, meticulously blended this exceptional whisky that contains 50% of malted barley and 50% of grain, creating a smooth whisky that has sweet vanilla aroma on the nose, elegant woody texture, following a delicate sandalwood finish from Mizunawa Oak.  “SHIN” means “Integrity” in Japanese, which is the core creed of Samurai tradition.
