The winery has a 150-year winemaking history for six generations. The "Tiraki" brand was established in 2020. In memory of the unique and clear sky climate under the shelter of the Marlborough Mountains. Allowing the winery to brew the most elegant wine; the winery pays tribute to the original Maori name of this production area, "Ke Puta Te Wairau", and respects Maori traditions and the blood relationship with this land.

The spirit of Tiraki is to seek adventure and new experiences. In addition to brewing fine wine, the winery hopes that the clear sky can become a topic of conversation and a reason for pioneering. "The dispersion of clouds" is synonymous with new beginnings and optimism. Through Tiraki's wine, it inspires the joy, passion and desire for adventure that the winery is willing to share with the world.

Founded in 1870 by the winery's ancestors, who were the first Europeans to move to the Marlborough region, Longfield Farm has undergone a 150-year history and six generations of hard work. The 260-hectare property has changed dramatically, but Tiraki's commitment to the highest quality has never changed, and he continues to protect it for future generations.

Since 1999, the property has gradually developed into a vast vineyard with a variety of grape varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Long sunshine hours, large temperature differences between day and night, clay soils and careful teamwork at the winery combine to create excellent quality grapes, which winemakers can then turn into world-class and unique wines.

The clay soils of Longfield Vineyard are ideal for making rich and balanced wines. From flowering in late November to harvest in mid-March, the cool nights and warm days here maximize the ripening period of the grapes, which is key to developing flavor and balancing sweetness and acidity.

Vineyard management is in line with the New Zealand Wine Sustainable Development Strategy. To promote biodiversity in Longfield Vineyard, many native plants are planted along the waterways, hoping to attract native birds and insects to the vineyard to eliminate pests and ensure the healthy growth of grapes.

In the autumn, sheep come to walk in the vineyard, which can provide the most natural fertilizer and weed, eliminating the trouble of using machines.

Tiraki Sauvignon Blanc Uses low-temperature stainless steel tanks and selected wild yeast fermentation to increase the aroma intensity; the short-term lees maturation process can increase the body and taste.

This is a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with a very characteristic production area, full of refreshing passion fruit, guava and lemon; there is a hint of wild nettle and tropical fruit on the taste, and the long finish leaves a refreshing feeling of minerals.
