Château Lafleur du Roy is located in the village of Pomerol – the right bank of Bordeaux and was founded in 1958 by husband and wife Yvon and Pâquerette Dubost. Yvon was originally engaged in grape seedling cultivation and was trusted by major wineries; a former village chief of Pomerol, the couple has been deeply involved in Bordeaux for many years and has a deep love and understanding of the local culture and land.

The Dubost family invites Belgian painter friends every year to paint with different floral themes as the label of Château Lafleur du Roy that year. In addition to Lafleur du Roy Pomerol, the winery also launched a limited edition flagship wine, Lafleur du Roy Cuvée Prestige, brewed with the finest 45-year-old vine 100% Merlot, with only 3,500 bottles produced per year, reserved only for Lafleur du Roy fans. The various micro wineries owned by the family, including Château Bossuet red wine Château Pâquerette white wine, are of excellent quality without too much international marketing and are particularly good value. The family brewing business is currently run by his son Laurent, who graduated from a brewing university.

The park is located on a southwest-facing 60-meter higher ground, with gravel and sandstone at the surface and iron-rich soil at the bottom. It covers an area of ​​only 4 hectares and has an average tree age of 40-45 years. The family values ​​ecology and nature without using any chemical fertilizers or herbicides, using large quantities of artificial regular weeding, and from time to time closely inspecting each grape one by one.
