Distillation

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Don Julio Gonzalez, the founder of the agave distillery, Mr. Don Julio Gonzalez, who established the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico, Diageo has released a special edition of its premium tequila, Don Julio 1942. This tequila is made from hand-selected blue agave botanicals, matured in American white oak barrels for 30 months (compared to the typical 18 months for Angjo-grade tequila), and only three barrels are made per batch! This exceptionally smooth and incredibly complex tequila offers notes of tropical fruit, agave, and subtle cinnamon spice.
