Fattorie Melini was founded in 1705 and became one of the first designated Designation of Origin (D.O.) in 1716. Today, it is a key member of Italy's renowned Chianti region. Located in Gaggiano, within the Chianti Classico region, at an average altitude of 300 meters, Melini Winery was built between 1970 and 1974, nestling into the hillside, a modern four-story winery that blends seamlessly with the surrounding countryside. Melini was the first Tuscan winery to adopt the "CRU" standard for high-quality wines, a key factor in Melini's global success over the past century.

Fattorie Melini is affiliated with Gruppo Italiano Vini s.p.a., Italy's largest wine group. They adhere to the most stringent standards in production and management, ensuring that their products achieve the highest possible DOCG (Denomination of Origin Guaranteed), the highest of Italy's four wine classifications.
