Winery

Domaine Regis Jouan is a family-owned business passed down from generation to generation. Régis Jouan founded his own winery in 2010 after working at the family winery for 20 years. Regis Jouan's daughter and son-in-law currently work alongside him at the winery, with son-in-law David Girard taking over management in 2017. The winery is committed to cultivating long-term partnerships with distributors, restaurants, and wine lovers worldwide, ensuring its high-quality wines are accessible to a wider audience.

Region

Located in Sury-en-Vaux, within the Sancerre appellation, on the left bank of the Loire River, the terroir boasts unique conditions. The soil, composed of limestone and clay, fosters distinctive fruit aromas and structure in the wines. The winery's Sauvignon Blanc, renowned for its elegance, refinement, and power, is highly appreciated by wine lovers worldwide.

Winemaking

The wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged briefly on the lees to preserve their fresh, fruity aromas and structure.

Rating / Tasting Note

This pale yellow wine has an appealing aroma with notes of white flowers, honey, distinct minerality, and hints of melon and vanilla. A refreshing palate offers lemon, green apple, orange peel, preserved fruit, and honeysuckle. With moderate acidity and a delicate texture, it pairs best with oysters or shellfish.
