Distillery

Back in 1889, Fernand Moureaux inherited a family winery in Alfort. He created a new type of aperitif, contrary to the prevailing practice: instead of using wine as a base, he used a plant—gentian.

Tasting Note

For generations, Suze has been renowned for its unique recipe and traditional production methods. Its aromatic complexity is the result of a delicate balance between fresh gentian and extracts from many different aromatic plants. Suze liqueurs are made from cultivated and wild gentians.

Dominated by bitterness, blended with subtle sweetness, it possesses a complex layering reminiscent of orange peel, licorice, and earth.

Palp: Fresh on the palate, the bitterness gradually unfolds, culminating in a finish with herbal and citrus notes, suitable for drinkers seeking a balanced experience.
