Chateau Reynon was originally known as Chateau de Béguey. Until the late 15th century, the estate was still considered a "noble family." It belonged to Jean de la Roque, who also owned property in Barsac. In the 18th century, the vineyards belonged to the newly arrived Carle de Trajet family. Around 1850, it was sold to the Laspeyrère family, who built the present-day classic château on the site. Just before 1900, the estate, then known as Chateau Peyrat, was acquired by the Parisian wine merchant Emile Pollet. In 1958, Jacques David from the neighboring village of Omet acquired the estate. He also inherited his father's vineyards in Laroque. These two vineyards were subsequently merged. In 1976, his daughter Florence and son-in-law, agronomist and winemaker Denis Dubourdieu, took over. Since 1979, the estate has been known as Chateau Reynon. By the 1980s, its reputation had grown significantly, especially for its Sauvignon white wines. The Reynon cellars at that time were Denis Dubourdieu's favorite experimental ground. As a young researcher, he specialized in the production of dry white wines. Reynon perfected the techniques of tank maceration and aging for Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Subsequently, these techniques gained widespread popularity worldwide. Thus, Reynon initially gained fame for its dry white wines. A restructuring of the vineyards began in 1988. The low-density vineyards of the late 1950s were gradually replanted to 5,500 vines per hectare. This transformation brought out the extraordinary potential of the clay terroir in Reynon's red wines. A decade later, with the success of the 1998 vintage, Reynon's red wines firmly established themselves among the best wines of Bordeaux. At Reynon, the ancient tradition of planting vines on the right bank slopes was revived. By 1996, a vintage favorable for Botrytis cinerea (noble rot) produced a surprisingly impressive Cadillac sweet white wine. Its rarity lies in its primary composition of Sauvignon Blanc, which gives this sweet wine its distinctive character. The winery covers 27.5 hectares, with 19 hectares planted with red grapes and 8.5 hectares with white grapes. The average vine age is 23 years, and the annual production is approximately 50,000 bottles.

Chateau Reynon is located in Béguey, near Cadillac, on a south-facing slope on the right bank of the Garonne River. Part of the estate spans the neighboring village of Laroque, which is composed of the magnificent southeast-facing slopes and the ancient limestone terraces of Oeuille, a small tributary of the Garonne.

Chateau Reynon Blanc made its debut in volume 21 of the manga "Drops of God."
How elegant! The acidity is perfectly balanced! A delightful aroma of oak! Elegant and perfectly balanced, like a white horse galloping across the plains—a very refreshing white wine!
Professor Denis Dubourdieu deserves credit for the high level of Bordeaux white wine production. His father and grandfather were both renowned white wine producers. His dissertation was on Sauternes, and his university research focused on the aromas of white wine. Denis particularly emphasized the skin contact between grape skins and juice, believing it helps extract more aromas, flavors, and tastes. He also encouraged aging white wine in oak barrels to create greater complexity. Reynon, made primarily of Sauvignon Banc grapes with a small amount of Semilion, is a textbook example of typical Bordeaux white wine, with notes of lemon, green grapes, minerals, toasting, fresh acidity, and a refreshing and crisp finish on the palate. " Reynon Blanc is an elegant, complex and tasty dry wine, with aromas of grapefruit, white peach, with mineral and smoked notes, susceptible to a remarkable evolution in the bottle for several years. "
