Piper Heidsieck Champagne

世界三大香檳品牌之一

Piper Heidsieck Champagne is one of the world's three major champagne brands, founded in 1785, with a long and legendary history.

Since Florens Louis Heidsieck founded his champagne house in 1785, innovation and excellence have been at their core. This dream came true when he presented his first champagne to Queen Marie Antoinette.

In 1815, Henri Guillaume Piper joined Reims, and he and Florens Louis's nephew, Christian Heidsieck, began promoting the champagne house's reputation outside of France. Today, Piper Heidsieck champagne is sold in over 100 countries and is the most awarded champagne house of this century, having received over 275 medals.

Since receiving royal warrants from Queen Marie Antoinette and 14 royal and imperial courts, Piper Heidsieck has been widely sought after by high society, including Hollywood tycoons and celebrities. Piper Heidsieck enjoys a prestigious reputation on the red carpet at film festivals worldwide and is an official sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Awards. Piper Heidsieck is dedicated to the preservation of cinematic art and heritage.

Piper Heidsieck made its Hollywood debut in Laurel and Hardy's film *Son of the Desert*. Marilyn Monroe once said, "I put a few drops of Chanel No. 5 in my eyes before bed, and every morning I drink a glass of Piper Heidsieck; it warms me up."

Although Piper-Heidsieck does not own its own vineyards, the brand carefully selects grapes from over 60 top vineyards in the Champagne region. The main grapes used in its winemaking include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a small amount of Pinot Meunier. These grape growers, concentrated in Montagne de Reims, Vall ee de la Marne, Cote des Blancs, and Cote des Bar, are committed to implementing increasingly stringent environmental measures in their vineyards, including reducing chemical use, improving biodiversity, dry farming, and energy and waste management.

In the winemaking process, the brand emphasizes combining traditional techniques with modern precision technology. Through careful blending, low-temperature fermentation, and long aging, each bottle of Champagne is infused with distinct layers of fruit aromas and a unique terroir. This relentless pursuit of detail and quality is one of the key reasons for Piper-Heidsieck's enduring success.

Piper Heidsieck's global success is attributed to the passion and expertise of its chief winemaker, Emilien Boutillat, the youngest Master Winemaker in the Champagne world, who continues the winery's unwavering commitment to exceptional quality. Piper Heidsieck is dedicated to protecting the terroir of Champagne through sustainable viticulture and is proud of its vineyards' dual certification.

Piper Heidsieck's top wine is Rare Mill Esime, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with the former dominating. It's full-bodied and well-structured, and aged in the cellar for seven years before release. Rare is only produced in the best vintages; in the past 30 years, fewer than 10 vintages have been released. The winery has temperature-controlled cellars and a large reserve of wine to maintain a consistent style year after year, producing wines by grape variety and individual plots to allow for greater control during blending.
