首先大家千萬別搞錯，就在波爾多都已經有幾間酒莊叫 Bellegrave，在 Haut Medoc 已經有一間中級莊一樣叫 Chateau Bellegrave，Pomerol 也有一間，另外在 Haut Medoc 也有兩間很相似的 Chateau Belgrave 五級莊和 Château Bellegrave du Poujeau 中級莊。

這枝是位處於 Pauillac 的 Chateau Bellegrave，而 Chateau Bellegrave Les Charmes 和 Les Sieurs de Bellegrave 則都是旗下的酒款。Chateau Bellegrave Pauillac 佔地只有 9 公頃，在 1997 年由來自隆河的三代家族 Meffre 買入，擁有毗鄰名莊 Lynch Bages 和 Grand-Puy-Lacoste 的優質風土，是被喻為 Pauillac 區最被低估的精品小莊之一，酒莊都定位自己是非列級莊的性價比之選～

Very attractive array of purple flowers, dark stones and cocoa powder with a wealth of spicy dark berries and earthy nuances. The palate has a very plush, juicy and deep-set build of regal tannins. Long, seamless finish. Right on form and one of the best from here in recent times, as well as being one of the value wines of the vintage.

This is all silky elegance, falling over itself to welcome you in. 2016 is such a good vintage for rediscovering those little, overlooked estates, and this is lovely, with enveloping tannins and touches of rusticity that remind you there are still estates working in a traditional manner without extreme selection, even in Pauillac. Very good.
